Default MY 2001 XJ DD/Camping Vehicle

I purchased this Jeep in 2001 with the intentions Daily Driving it but also making it a vehicle we could camp and adventure in. Tire of camping at common places and wanted to be able to get to places off the beaten path so to say. Here is a photo the day I brought it home, 125,000 Miles and soon after discovered a cracked 0331 head.

- Swapped the "space saver" for a full size spare tire.
- Replaced the head with one from Clearwater Cylinder Head"
- New Spark Plugs
- Replaced the IAT sensor
- New Water pump and hoses
- Coolant System Flush
- Added Factory Gas Tank Skid and Transfer Case Skid
- Con-Ferr Roof Rack
- MAG Light Mount
- Painted End Caps and Rear Bumper

Not much on the plate for it but to add some front recovery points, a front skid, a 2-3" lift and larger 30" or 31" tires.

Thanks working on getting my CB wired up and thinking about painting the wheels. I shot my full size spare today I think I like it. Problem is the color is an interior paint. Couldn't find anything in an exterior paint that I liked and apparently no one locally carries Duplicolor Bronze wheel paint which is ultimately the color i want to do.

Is that a pet divider I see behind rear seat? If so could you get more pics and some info on it?

Good to hear, I think that's what I will do then.

Yes I got it from a friend who used to have it in some sort of minivan I think. We cut the adjusted bar on the bottom down and it fit right in there.

I just picked them up from Amazon and screwed them into the plastic with the supplied screws.

Also I mounted my CB Antenna. Just drilled out one of the exsting holes in the Roof Rack Crossbar. With a 90 fitting it will fold flat into the rack when not in use.

Go a minimum of 3" if you want to run 31's ,you will still hit your flairs and knock them off even at 3".I siliconed mine down and that helps. You will find that it gets hard to stop modifing it.

Well an update....

- Fixed Vaccum leak in the lines working the Vent controlls
- New Front Rotors and Calipers (drivers side was stuck and the pass side was close to being completely stuck)
- Rims are painted

We went camping and loaded up the springs were inverted.... so I picked up some S-10 springs to give it a boost in the rear just waiting to pick up some spacers from up front and I will finish that.

I was able to get my S-10 Bastard pack finished. Was a quick and easy install, and netted me right at 2" in the rear, spacers are up next for the front.
