I got my 784 injectors awhile ago, but just got new o-rings and filters today. On order is a Spectre Cowl Intake, as well as new upstream oxygen sensors. Hopefully I will be able to get it all installed sometime next week when I have the time! I'm hoping to see a little bit increased throttle response, and an MPG or two would be nice, but I'm not planning on anything drastic.
Since it is summer and I am home from college and working, I'll finally be able to put some good money into the XJ. I have it planned out in stages:
Stage 1: Mechanical/Performance (In process)
784 injectors
Spectre Cowl Intake
New oxygen sensors
Possibly a Performance Curve kit (I love the sound of the Super 44)
Brown Dogs?
Stage 2: Road Manners
Redo springs with OME components
Shocks
Hack-n-tap SYE (if needed)
Steering
Miscellaneous throughout summer:
Repair and repaint rear bumper
Repaint hood and install hood vents
CB Radio
Remove door trim
I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that's the basic plan!

Can't wait to see it some updates! Keep an eye on my build this summer I got lots planned aswell! also when u pull off the door trim, pry it off and get a new razor blade and scrape what you can. Then use Zippo lighter fluid to remove the leftover sticky. It will be a lot of work but it looks so much better.

And another thing to consider is if you decide an SYE will be necessary, you might wanna do a real SYE instead of hack n tap. I have a rugged ridge one waiting to be installed. It only costs 180 on amazon and all you need is a junkyard front driveshaft to run in the rear, or a custom made shaft. I think they're stronger than hack n tap because it has a larger diameter output shaft. But it's all up to you!

Well, a couple of quick updates to keep the ball rolling. First, I got my Spectre kit, 784 injectors, and new o2 sensors installed without any problems!
It freed up a little bit of space in the engine compartment...now I need to figure out how to fill it!
I also picked up a couple of small goodies from Amazon:
My old horn went kaput, so I grabbed these based on reviews:
I keep a headlamp or two in my center console, but I figured I needed something a little bit more significant. I searched for LED Flashlight, and this was just about the top rated one. Cheap, durable, and VERY bright!
And everyone knows it's a good idea to keep a knife handy, so I grabbed this S&W. It's cheap, but it will serve its purpose!
I also got that trailer hitch D-ring that you see in the first picture. I repaired my dented and rusted rear bumper a few days ago, and I plan to clean up my hitch, so the D-ring will be a great addition!
Between my full-time summer job and a contracted house painting job (just 3 rooms) that I'm doing, I am hoping for a handsome payday this week, so hopefully I'll be able to get a few more things! I know upgraded exhaust is near the top of the list, along with hood vents, floor mats, and suspension! Stay tuned!

It's not too bad as far as ambient noise. I normally have my music turned up, so I don't even hear it, but with windows up and no music, to me, it's really only noticeable when accelerating. Cruising down the road, I can't tell it's there. The real fun starts when you hit about 2500-2750 RPM's...then it opens up and sounds absolutely amazing. I still have stock exhaust, but with 2.5" tubing and a Flowmaster/Magnaflow on there, I expect it to be quite nice!
