Morando6784 ZJ Build UP
New here, just picked up my first jeep a few months back. 98 I6 with 245k I nab for $350 with bad trans. It still purred like a kitten when i started it so i took a chance. A month ago I got found a trans on craigs for $350, had reman tag on it from mopar out of a 98 with 120k. So i bet it doest have all that many miles on it. Threw it in and everything went perfect, then I went to test drive it and it had a nasty grinding up front........ Front axle was trashed..... Bummer. So two weeks ago found a front end at jeep parts yard for $500 and tossed that in. Know she is running. I drove it to work twice no prob (80 mile round trip) just got a little shake at 55. Then the wife took it one day to work and on way home she started getting the worst death wobble ever. I figure with a fresh front end it needs an alinement. So I rush a quick budget lift on there so I didn't have to do it twice. This is a very low budget build so bear with the redneck rigging I did to get it lifted. Took v8 front springs with a 2 3/4 bb spacers. Threw the v6 front springs in the rear. Redrilled front trac bracket and made my own shock exstensions. Know I need to get the rear track bar to get my back end centered. Then fab my sways and extended them 3" as well. Here she is know and will keep posted when get something else going. Also got some 17 inch stock grand wheels to throw on when I get rubber, gonna paint them black cause the chrome is chipping...Thinking 265/75/17. Plan on a custom light bar on front and rack coming next

Made my sway bar extensions. Fronts I took steel tube that fit directly over the original steel of the sway link then welded them together. The rear is all thread with original bushings and other parts. Then a steel sleeve in the middle for reinforcement. Let me know what u think

Well did some of those at home flares, not to big tho just enough to give it a more aggressive look. Also did the center of my hood. Use black textured paint. Give it a nice tuff flat color and u don't have to worry about if something touches it while it was wet cause you won't tell if it did anyways. Need some tires so bad

Scored 21 feet of square tubing for free! My bud works at a steel place he grabs me some scrap when he can. I smell a custom bumper guard coming and the roof rack is half way done as well

Put a rack on jeep and fab up some dodge mud flaps and made a Frank-intake as well. The intake consist of the rubber angle off the TB is factory, the pipe is a cut up after market eclipse intake, then a cone filter on the end. The heat shield is sheet metel off an old BBQer I had sitting around then part of the bottom of the factory intake box. It's a mess of stuff but it works.
