Misfit, the ZJ build
Well I am back with another Jeep. It's a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo with a 3.5" IRO Lift and 31's on it currently. I got it for very cheap, it needs a trans and tires(more on this in a few). It has the 4.0L with 183k miles,42RH trans(shot) and the 242 Transfer case. I have a decent list of parts for it and had a budget, but already blew that out of the water lol
The story on how i ended up with it is, my Cousin was wheeling it on Turkey day the local ORV park and while trying an obstical he blew the trans(was on it's last leg already) and while being recovered he inadvertantly got hung up on a branch puncturing the sidewall of the front DS tire, and causing the rear on the same side to pop off the bead(its back on but no air in it) thus the lopsided stance. I actually bought it before he even got pulled out to the parking lot, and he delivered it the next day(Black Friday).
Plans:
8.8 Rear end swap(LSD and 3.73 gears)
Rough Country Long Arm upgrade
33x12.50x15 Duratracs
Boostwerks Engineering T-Case shift linkage
Lokka D30 Front locker
Smittybuilt XRC 9k winch
Rough Country Winch plate
12volt Guy In cab winch control setup
That is the skinny on the plan. it will be a straight forward build mostly. I have already ordered or am picking up this week the following parts
8.8 Rear end(local JY for $100,3.73 gear and LSD)
8.8 Swap stuff(Iron Rock Off Road)
Rough Country Long arm upgrade
Boostwerks 242 Linkage
42RH trans(picking up weekend of 12/2)
33x12.50x15 Duratracs(picking up weekend of 12/2)
Rear bumper
Hayden Trans Cooler(already have)
I only have a few pictures of it currently, it's also covered in mud so i need to clean it before starting work on it...

So the parts started showing up. I also replaced the battery today too. she fired right up. I pick up the 33's tomorrow(which i am trading for 35's lol), and it gets towed to get the trans replaced this weekend.

So i received 95% of my long arm kit. They screwed up in shipping, they sent me two sets of front arms, and no rear's. They are overnighting me a set of the rear arms. and i have to ship the second set of fronts back. but oh well.

So i got a few things accomplished. 33's are on, got the 8.8 swap brackets from IRO, and then the rear long arms will be here on Wednesday.

Yay more parts...
Boostwerks 242 shift linkage
Oh and this...
8.8 Axle 3.73 gears and OEM LSD. best part was the price... $100. I will have all of $350 into my 8.8 swap. And that was the price of the Artec truss, which i dont believe i'll need.
