Default Seats, roll bars, and sliding canvas roof!

Now the inside, you can see a little bit of the roll bar and how it looks. Here soon I will post some pics with the soft top off and how AEV integrated everything in the back with the roll bars and everything.

Default JEEP

I love the MJ tailgate with the big JEEP lettering, pretty much one of my favorite things about the XJ.

Hey thanks, the chop is very well done. The tailgate is not working right now but that's going to be my next little project.

Thank you.....The roof is pretty cool, not super practical and I probably wont use it very often. It sure looks and works good though!!!

Thanks man.....That's awesome you have 3 builds your doing. I would love to buy a cheap 2 door and build the whole thing from scratch like most of the guys do on here. I saved my money for a long time and when I found this one that already had the chopped top, I made my offer. Just lucky they decided to take what I had!

Lol, yeah, kind of hard to believe I have 3 builds going as well and the wife is still with me. Must be doing something right I guess, lol. Only hard part is keeping all the parts separate and not mix them between XJs.

Went out for a little cruise and popped off the quicker disconnects. I really like the JKS QD's!!! They are really easy to pop on and off and I'm confident they are very reliable when they are on. Luckily I left the strap from the Tera Flex QD's when i switched them out because it works great to secure the new ones! I really want to get on a ramp just to see how good or bad my flex is or whatever its called.

This looks great! It's pretty much exactly what I want to do to mine. I'm very interested to know if everything is water proof or not though. how is it sealed around the soft top? Also, when you get the tailgate working, I'd really love to see how thats put in there and what fabrication was involved in getting it to work.

Thank you very much! Yes everything is very water proof, I took it to the car wash and pressure washed it all along the the sides and everywhere on the soft top to see if there were any leaks. There was one little tiny spot about the size of a nickel but that was because i didn't realize one side of the zipper wasn't all the way down. So a few little drops got in from that. I will be putting some new weather stripping down where the soft top is attached to the top of the jeep! I will be doing this because it got kinda melted from the AZ sun and is all sticky. When I replace that here really soon I will take a bunch of pictures of how the soft top is connected and how the roll bar and everything was done. I just hope that there is someone who can duplicate the soft top that is on there. Just in case I rip it or something when I'm out hunting.

Default Question

The reason I bought a new ARB compressor and hose kit was so I could run both ARB lockers and air up my tires after driving in the sand. Instead of just running the lockers like the older model I have now does. Do you guys think I should just switch them out or should i leave the old one in running to the lockers and add the new high output compressor just for airing up tires and whatever else? Is this a good idea or possible? If so where would be a good place to mount it since there isn't much room in the engine compartment?

You should be able to find someone to make a new top if you ever need it. I would assume any upholstery shop would be able to duplicate it. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see how the soft top is put together.
