At tge beginning of the month I join a local 4x4 group. Its a good mix of rigs Toyota and jeep mostly. Over the weekend I attended a 4x4 show and shine with my new group. A played on the RTI ramp. I ended but going 60" up the ramp. My end score was 594.1. Not bad since I was pretty close to other xjs with bigger lifts but smaller tires.

Well not much of an update but an update I started a new job, so budget is tight till thing get figured out. I had one of the 35's blow out on the freeway. Which I found out my hi-lift isn't tall enough to change a front tire dang flex. Lol the same day my starter took a crap. New starter is in but with only one bolt. I need to get the top one the guy I bought it from had two different size bolts in there. And I'm looking for two more 35's the 33 spare isn't ideal.

A recent trip to the junkyard yelded a rear set of tj flairs already set up for an xj. So at some point I'll get them mounted. I need to fix one side a part of the mounting had broke but all in all tj flairs already cut and set up for an xj for $11 you real can't beat that.

I didn't take the front flairs never liked the way looked on a cherokee. Im keeping my flat flairs in the front.

Only got the rears. I don't like how the fronts look. Plus my fenders are cut so much in front there will be a hole.

I been having electrical issues with the limited hero. The starter went out replaced it then had to put it in my girl's grand the night before Thanksgiving. Took the starter from that and thanks to autozones lifetime warranty I got a free starter. Then it needed a battery so replaced it. Next morning dead with new battery. I unplugged the light under the hood cause it was drawing from the battery. The other morning I go to start it and nothing I jump started it go to leave turn my headlights cause it's 5am. It dies rrr jump it one more time and lights work now go to leave a kick my electric fan on since I don't have a clutch fan it dies again. I gave up and took the spare car cause now I'm running late for work.

So what could the issue be my thoughts was alternator or something wiring or? Any guesses?

I figured out it was my alternator so i picked up a stock one from a guy parting out his jeep. The spare I have didn't fit which I believe was from my H.O. swap. Also picked up 3 35x12.50x15 Baja claws which I will run on the front and use the third one as my spare tire and keep the mismatched 35 as a backup spare.
Limited hero is running again.

Since getting back on the road. I have ran in to a issue not with how it is running but lack of storage space lol. With a full size spare (35") not many places to put it. It's to big and heavy for the roof I don't have a tire carrier so only place is in the cargo area which isn't big to start with. I did get a hitch basket at the end of summer, but can't mount it safely there.*
So kicking around ideas I'm drawing up plans for a hitch mounted tire carrier something like the one I found searching called the hitch gate from wilco offroad. And also solve where to mount my hi-lift and a jerry can.*
Now to the hitch basket if I go with the tire carrier idea I could still mount the basket but wouldn't make it easy to go wheeling with such a mess of junk on the back of my jeep. I have two ideas, one cut it up to where I can mount it as a roof rack, or two cut it up and make a cargo basket which I'm leaning towards more I think of it. It would help secure items I carry with me that could fly around, proved more tie down spots and help keep thing organized. The cargo basket and hitch tire carrier together would also free up area for when I go camping, fishing or hunting.

Not much to update, replaces the crap ebay 3 core radiator with a stock radiator from a 93. Which I got and all new hoses and heater valve for $30.
On another note I have been gathering parts for my girl's grand which I kinda dubbed as her grand hero. Lol I'm doing 3.5" lift and it's getting my old 33s. It's already has a np242 and a lsd in the rear. So it should be able to keep up once lifted when we go wheeling together. Just need to work on her off road driving and teach her the fine art of spotting. So I have dueling projects now.

Got a worth while update today.

I got my rear Tj flares mounted. Limited hero looks better with rear flares again.
I had to fix the driver side one as I bought it at the junkyard broke but for 11 for pre made tj for a xj I didn't care. On to the pictures

The reason it took so long. I fixed the flares in February but been spending the pasted couple weekends lifting my girls zj. It a 98 4.0l auto 242 3.5" maybe a bit more and my old 33s.
