late arrival: project mall crawler
Lots more to go on this rig as money allows. and right now is a real bad time for money with this damn economy.
So I decided to go open cooling and be a mark like everyone else.
THe beginning

then naked

THe finished product....I guess

WHy the hell I kepy a heater control valve... I dunno it was a waste to keep, then the 5 dollar napa overflow bottle has a leak. Hoses were way overpriced and the radiator I put in is plastic where I had a 3 row metal. I couldnt remember how to burp a open system so it took a while to get it not to overheat and it runs the same temperature maybe even hotter. Stupid project and now im sun burnt. I hope this mod benefits me emotionally and physically down the road.

I actually drove it today and had better results than expected... temps are actually down darren so kill yourself. And I relocated the overflow bottle on the drivers side fender and opened up a ton of room by the blower fan.
well its been a while since I updated.
I just did my heater core and replaced a bunch of stuff. The project was so gay I took no pictures.
I replaced steering with brand new stuff. RE chromoally tie rod
Drives like it is off the showroom floor.

I hate cash for clunkers but I did get some defrost late model mirrors. Still looking for a good header panel and fenders from late model.

I also replaced the vend window which is easier than I expected and should have pics of my tank plumbed in and working next week.

What bumper is that i like the winch mounted inside it. The black grille in the chrome frame looks good, mine is all chrome, yours looks more like a '70s muscle car.
The mirrors are out of harmony with the rest of the jeep, a couple of stock chrome mirrors would look better i think.

I am doing the late model header panel and fender swap so it should all look better at that point. I like the fact these mirrors can be moved in when needed and have defrost which will be nice when it gets cold. I will splice them into my rear defrost soon.
I have to repaint the thing anyways as I have some rust on the driver side panel that needs work and paint is completely oxizidied and looks like shiz.
Im thinking repainting red but not sure
