Thank you! I see a lot of Cherokees (mainly 90-96) in junkyards that one afternoon or one weekend could of prevented the waste of a perfectly good vehicle.

I'll try that, I got a HF T60 so it doesn't matter beating the crap out of it. Only reason I thought about removing the mount and jacking it up is that the socket is 1/2 inch and i got some beefy 1/2 ratchets and breaker bars and a good out of vehicle inspection of the mount to see if that's another thing to add to the list.

Some updates:
1. O-rings are ordered and will be here eventually
2. Re-wiring the radio and harness is more of a side project and since it's not a priority, I'll be doing that little by little.

I also went to the junkyard this weekend and picked up a new to me right fender, a factory oil cap (fits way better than the aftermarket that was in there), and found the only Jeep in the yard with an intact coolant reservoir cap as mine was missing.

Plus, decided black Jeep will equal bed-lined black Jeep .

After one coat to the hood and the bumper

Prep work for new bumper.

Found a rear-view mirror since the Jeep is missing one.

It finally has a coolant reservoir cap!

Once coat of bed-liner on the new fender

Late night pic of the grille and headlight bezels finished.

It's all good and the best thing is that this long fix-it list isn't expensive so I can kind of fly through it and get the Jeep where I want it before upgrading.

True story there, man. My build thread is pretty much at a halt. Now I've got a lot of in-depth projects that kinda take a while and/or are associated with other mods I want to do so I never really get started on 'em. E.I. I'm going to swap the center console for the newer style, but I want to wait until I'm putting the ZJ seats in until I do it. I have all the parts I need, just don't have the time (there's fabrication involved for the seat swap).

I remember those days in my 92. This one is going to the fiance and I'm getting a 4x4 XJ. Once I'm done fixing it, it'll get the rear disc brake conversion but that's about it.

So an update. I worked late into the night last night removing and replacing the passenger side fender.

So how about a before and after?

Thanks!

It looks good, just needs to be bedlined some more and it'll look great.

Now I'm going to upgrade things. Not really lifting or anything, but maybe some performance upgrades.

4 hole injectors and a bored TB are good starts. Did both of those upgrade separately on mine, and I could feel a decent change from the good ole butt dyno after both upgrades.

I think the plan for this Jeep is going to go as follows:

1. Repair oil leaks
2. Fix Radio
3. Bilstein Shocks
4. Rear Disc Brake Conversion
5. Inexpensive All-Terrains (Destination A/T or KO2 in 215/75R15)
6. K&N Jeep Cold Air Intake with the shield
7. 62mm Throttle Body and Spacer
8. Upgraded steering and suspension (No lift)
9. Tint the front windows because the backs are dark and there's 0 up front

I've seen some pretty capable XJs stock ride height and with street tires for the amount of off-roading or lack there of this Jeep will see.

Sounds like a good plan, but TB spacers are worthless. 62mm TB and 4 hole injectors is nice.

Why so small on the tires? You did mention Inexpensive, but even stock they will look small. 215's came on some XJ's stock, but I think most had 225's. Think you can fit 235's without trimming. Might rub LCA's though.

That's the tires on this one and since I got large plans for the next XJ, this one will just get some minor changes.

I ordered some liftgate supports that I've seen recommended around the forum:
