you shoulda seen the pile i just took to the scrap yard
i have a wagoneer 44 in the front with a ford 8.8 in the rear with 513 gears.
the ford will have a detroit locker and the front 44 is yet to be determined by funds, either a lock right or welded.
the second phase started because of a broken front ring gear that snowballed into this....
a dana 30 and 44 are great axles and i would keep them if your not planning on running anything like the hammers. that was my problem, the 35s and small axles are fine for everything i run until we went to king of the hammers and i ran a few trails after the race, then 35s feel tiny again, so now bigger tires, axles bigger everything for harder trails
more updates here in a few...

a mix of 1 3/4 .120 wall and some .090 wall
my overhead console will be 1 1/2 .065 wall
yeah some kind of lunchbox locker, a vendor on pirate will give me a spartan for 230 out the door that is what i will most likely go with.
heres what the new rear bumper came out like....

and some goodies came in the mail today including these....

H1 recentered wheels, i still need rock rings and pvc inserts but its getting there.
ill have rings made at the same time as the brackets for the new long arm kits ill be making fairly soon
I picked up the wheels from these guyshttp://www.trailworthyfab.com/124-Do...l-Special.html

i thought i took pics of the t case before i put it in but apparently i didnt
anyway i went with a dana 300 case i got from a good wheeling buddy. i just put new seals in it and im going to run it for now,
i got my flip ring from northwestfab, the ring has 4 different clocking positions and is 7/8 thick which gives a lot of thread for the studs.
i did have to buy a new input shaft for the transfercase so it would bolt to my transmission.
i also had to buy longer studs since the ones that came in the kit were too short.
(i think they sent me studs for a 3/8 adapter not a 7/8 they were about 1/2 inch short) no problem that was a $5 fix.
i also bought some 1/2 allthread and female heims to make a shift linkage for it,
that will happen in a few days since tomorrow ill be re gearing the 8.8 and putting new bearings, seals, and the locker/gears in

but, X2 on the air shocks. im already considering them because it is very hard to find a coil that wont unseat as fast mine currently do.

That not a bad idea but I'm trying to keep from having holes in my floor. The Jeep will see water at least weekly.
How do the coils do for you with no sway bar in the rear? Are you running one on the front? And how does it do on the street?

i dont know whether this is an option for you. but, i ended up building an 1/8 aluminum box and seam sealing the inside. and later adding a 3m foam/stick-on seal to the bottom of the box and using self tappers to secure it to the floorboard so it could still be removable for servicing the shocks. the seal is pretty air tight and i dont see how it couldnt also do a good job of keeping water out.

im currently not running any sway bars, and while there is a good change in body roll its not unmanageable...i just dont take on ramps/off ramps at a high speed anymore.
i do believe though that you could get away with only running a front sway bar and the jeep feeling good around corners.
otherwise though, i love the street ride of the 4 link/coils. rides like a caddy on the highway...lol

thats a good idea, i might have to do something like that. youll never keep the water out lol i just dont want a gaping hole in the floor board that you can see thru.
im glad to hear that its not too bad on the street. what is your spring rate on the front springs of yours?
i was going to get a sway bar but i might try it without one for now and see how much body roll it has, i still want it to be stable as possible
