Hooked up some new cables and battery. Thanks Kelleys whip aka 5-90! Was fairly easy although I still have the firewall/engine cable. I didn't even think to crack a beer...damn.

I've been busy this week. Finally got a switch to my hella's. Threw that bad boy in the overhead console. Soon a switch for some high powered reverse lights will join it. My hands are destroyed though. 2 nights in a row routing cables have made them sore...

New fluid in the pumpkins. Napa had pennzoil synthetic fluid on clearance for $4. Hard to beat that, was able to do both axles for the price of one.

Got the rear lift and tires on, ended up with 31x10.5 on the stock wheels. Front lift will be done in the next few weeks...

Still haven't had time to finish the front lift but I did get a ZJ V8 tie rod on this. Took all of 15 minutes on my lunch break.

This picture sucks but whatever, it's a tie rod.

Got my rustys crossmember drop in too. Very nice piece, although one of the 15mm bolts wouldn't line up so the hole needed to opened up a bit. We'll see how it works out.

Finally got a switch on my tailgate lighting after a good year of it blasting light through the cab.

And got my front lift on...about effing time. Still looks stock lol. Tires will go on the fronts this weekend. Next up? Sway bar discos and rear discs, bump stops too, mine crumbled off both front and rear.

Looks good to me. If you modify your fenders and put 31s on with back spacing it'll be badass and still have good road manners and acceleration.

I ended up with Cooper AT3's in 31" so I could really use a small trim and bump stops before heading to the trails. I bought a set of spacers, although they're a short term solution. I'm not crazy on the idea of using them but I also didn't want to buy a set of wheels right now.

I'd like to push another 1-2" out of the lift with either some combo of spacers, ACOS, Shackles of the OME AAL. I'll probably toss a track bar on before years end and a set of LCA's if I go forward with the additional lift.

Dude, nothing beats heading out after work on the kayaks. Grab a sandwich and a beer and catch the sunset. Love it!

Finished up the lift, got tires mounted, oil change, wash, 1" wheel spacers, new front discs and pads, and an alignment...Boom

Rig looks really good man. Just like you planned - a XJ Rubicon.

Now, get a locker and swaybar disconnects!

Thanks Battle. I'm building some homemade discos as we speak. Hopefully they'll be done and mounted by the end of the month along with my rear discs.

A locker will be next year, I'd like either a truetrac or air-locker that way I can use the OBA to fill tires. It's not a rock crawler/mud bogger so drive-ability is key.

I'd also like to add another 1-2" but it'll wait until next year. I'll probably do JKS ACOS up front with an OME AAL out back.
