Cool Jeep XJ Resurrection Restoration

I recently bought a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4cy white. It was parked under a tree for many months. The cylinder head had been sold for scrap (by brother in law) and it was sitting in pieces. Anyway I had a lot of help on my 97 jeep from this site and it gave me the courage to tackle a engine swap. Got it first try. Wanted to post some pictures of the Project.

Good luck with the swap, I've read a few threads about it on here, and like almost always they were educational

Pulled Engine and took it to Tech 1 engines in Tampa. They did a great job on the rebuild. I was missing Cylinder head rocker arms push rods it was a challenge tracking down all the parts, but we did.

Nice man, 2wd or 4x4? Looks pretty clean for sitting underneath a tree for a long time

All said and done got the jeep done, new engine, new tools, new headliner, oxygen sensors to get the dummy light to turn off, and last but not least new paint job. Got two jeeps now.

The white jeep is a 2 wheel drive. The black ones got everything.

Good work! Thats the first time I've seen the roof rack color matched to the vehicle like that. Only thing im concerned about is that if used, the paint will probably chip/wear off of the roof rack pretty quickly. Good luck on the rest of it!
