James_P's DD/Weekend Warrior
Whats up guys, my names James(duh lol) Im 20 years old from South Jersey. I bought my first Jeep in August as a dd for the winter as I didn't want to drive my car through the snow. I got it for $1200 in Pennsylvania. It need routine maintenance asap. I changed all the fluids, brakes and the belt.
I didnt plan on doing much to the jeep, but that didnt last long. In came a 3'' Rough Country lift with an aal -___- which eventually had a 1'' block added because the rear lifted maybe 1 1/2''. Also got tires as 31x10.5 Duratracs. It also got my old roof rack I had laying around the shed.
Wheeled it a bit, tested out the suspension.
Then off came the ugly side moldings. I hated them from the beginning, and luckily most of them were hanging off. I taped the body and used the rustoleum diy bed liner spray.
Then overtime i decided to ditch the fender flares, and my wonderful girlfriend bought me the JCR diy front bumper for my birthday. I added the front hoops myself. This was my first time welding, and it went smooth. Also got LED fog lights for my birthday from a buddy.
So far the mod list goes as:
3" coil springs
Rough Country control arms
Rough Country quick discos
95 wrangler brake lines
3'' AAL
1'' Block
No rear sway bar
Solid Axle front and rear diff covers
JCR front bumper
LED fog lights
painted door lowers, fenders and grill in bed liner
Rough Country t-case skid
Future mods:
frame stiffeners
rock sliders
gas tank skid
HD track bar
HD tie rod
The jeep will be monstalined OD green when it warms up here in Jersey, along with all the black bedliner redone in black monstaliner.
Thanks for lookin!

The paint is pretty bad throughout the jeep and I didn't want to respray due to rock chips and scratches. Figured monstaliner would hold up well and can always be easily retouched

Lol thats awesome! Wish I could have found a decent 97+, but the ones that seemed to pop up in my area where rust buckets. Your jeep looks clean, i like that front bumper!

I had a terrible sputtering going on at idle and on the highway. Checked all the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and they were all fine. Changed the fuel filter and still had the sputtering. I found that I had a vaccume leak. I also seafoamed the motor through the throttle body and all I can say is WOW. Throttle response is amazing, and my gas mileage has gone up dramatically. The motor feels almost like new!
