So i'll start this off with, my story, I work at Sonic-Drive In part time, and I drove my old Ford F100, for a long time, but I wanted something different, I looked at many cars. But it came down to me purchasing my 1996 XJ..

This is my XJ at the carlot.. haha

This is the first day I drove it,

So Two months went by, I've been saving money, and did my sound system, got 2 12in subs, and a nice head unit, I also bought seat covers, been keeping interior clean..

So now i'm planning on a lift, cool air intake, Roof Rack, new front bumper, some nice 33s, and Fix my fenders... I'll make a list later

You can see my fender lol

Tomorrow, I'm going to be tuning it up, and fixing my fenders, and next week, my cool air intake should be all done..
This site has inspired me to build my jeep XD

Well today, I made a trip to the Upullit, found a nice bumper, and a Nice roofrack with flood lights. I tried to trim my fenders today, getting ready for my lift, but I busted my antifreeze line, and it took awhile to fix that, so tomorrow is a new day

That sucks. I hope you didn't buy a stock bumper for the mere fact that I also have one of those you could have had... Although the cost was probably cheaper than gas for a halfway trip... lol.

I am looking forward to see how this turns up. I am going to start my build thread soon. You'll have to check it out. Waiting til I'm done to start it... So i can post at liesure.

Good luck bro.

Before you do a cool air intake..please research!!!!!!!!!!
Do a cowl intake/cowl snorkle. A cai on a jeep is pointless..theres no true gain and they only make it easier to suck up water....
A cowl snorkle will pull the air from the cowl area by the windsheild wipers...and since it pulls air from higher up, its kinda like a cheater snorkle. It raises the induction point up which is a nice plus for offroading!

And next time your at a junkyard, look for a v8 grand cherokee..if you find one grab the tire rod..its a cheap upgrade, and its 10x better than the stock cherokee one!

Update: Well, Instead of getting a shortram cold air intake, I went with a 60$ K@N Air filter, seems to work wonders, I can hear the difference... Didn't get to finish my fenders yet, hoping this weekend.

Also I went out on this field trail today, since it rained, and got all muddy, In some huge puddles, My Check engine light came on too! Any advice on mudding, and stuff? I'm new.
