3 maybe 3.5 will clear the 31s all day. I wouldn't go much higher w 31s. The bigger the lift the more you will have to adjust/upgrade. With a 3-3.5 just get the right shock and sway bar links and an alignment. Once you get up to 4.5 or so some will say your drive line may need attention but everyone's experiences are different. With 4.5 i would def suggest adjustable lower control arms maybe even upper. But if your question is what to lift to clear your 31s? add an inch and you should be fine. For how cheap it will be to add a little lift to clear 31s i wouldnt cut just yet.

just get an alignment and make sure you have enough shock travel and you should be fine. double check your front and rear brake lines to make sure they have enough slack.

He's correct. You can run 3" with minimal modifications and 31s.

Lift
Alignment
Sway bar end links
Shocks
Brake lines

depends how much you want to spend. 3 inch coils and 3 inch lift packs would be best. next would be spring spacers and shackles maybe add a leaf. try not to use blocks. dont stack spacers. a full 3 lift is affordable. but cut off wheels are cheaper.

Are you on stock rims?

Better backspacing may be all you need.

depending on what he is rubbing. fender of are you rubbing the inside of the tires? wheel spacers or wheels will fix that issue. but with 31s and 2 inches im guessing hes rubbing everywhere lol.

Mine rubs like hell on 3" and 31s. But it stays on pavement 90% of the time so it doesn't matter.

Granted, It's riding on some 3.25" bs wheels. If it had stock wheels on it she'd be golden.
