Oh yea I meant to change that shortly after I typed it, and forgot to do so. So that's definitely understandable. But I think I have decided to go with the critical path kit or the long travel kit from rusty's and supporting mods. Just makes more sense to do a whole kit.. it'll be easier on my pockets.

That's bs.I've seen properly setup short arm kits flex just as much if not more then long arms. The key word there is properly setup. Some long arms flex like **** right outta the box, just like some short arm do.

yeahh no. I have a 'properly' set up short arm kit and get pretty decent flex. but I still lift tires left and right on the trail. there is no way you can compare a short arm kit to a long arm kit. the only thing that would cause a long arm kit to not flex right out of the box is limitations of things like shocks, brake lines, etc.

Ehh,yes.

We're talking out of the box here, aren't we?

I've seen a re 5.5 short arm kit flex 10% more atleast next to a rough country long arm kit. This is personal experience reference.I'm by no means saying long arms aren't the way to go for flex, but it isn't the ONLY way.

She is sold. I decided to go a different route. Looking to build a v8 zj as a daily driver/weekend offroader.

I can't see any possible way that a complete (brake lines, discos, and proper length shocks included) out-of-the-box LA kit would have less flex than any short arm kit

kind of a bummer but some times a fresh start is the best option. good luck on the next build
