best option for a price minded build would be a ford 8.8 as common as its done. a rear d44 will run big bucks especially if your looking for one out of an older Cherokee. Im not too familiar with the AMC 20s but id assume getting parts would be a bit of a challenge

Never want to do another one. And the jy has only one front shaft and a bolt is stripped. Might be fukked

are you talking about the yoke on the axle? like one of the bolts is stripped? the easiest way to fix that would be to just drill out and re-tape for a larger bolt. id only do this if u really cant find one.

I'm pretty sure that most big companies make 20 parts, I know Yukon does. As for the 8.8, unless i'm going to 35s I'd rather stick to a simple 8.25 instead. The 8.8 will drag more than a cat into a house. I almost "stole" a D44 out of an XJ the other week for just $150 but someone beat me to it, so they can be found cheap but rarely. It's not for a while so I can sit and wait, like a hunter looking for cheap and neat axles lol.

I think the arms are a little long. There's no way you're running a 3" lift with these. I have proabvly a 2 inch stretch with 4 inch coils. Which isn't a bad thing.

I do believe that the last time I saw B.Lee talking about this topic was that their one worker who seems to be the lab-rat for their products had this kit with around 4"s of lift. I'm sure 3" would make a difference but who doesn't like to stretch? I would if I had adjustable uppers
