Well, in an effort to get the Jeep ready for a 20hr (round trip) xmas road trip to visit the family, my buddy Thom and I went over the jeep to make sure she is top notch and ready to go. A lot of the work I have been putting off, but until the jeep was in Thom's barn for 24hrs and we realized how much oil she was leaking, all work went into overdrive.

In the past 3 days we(not in order):
-drained the oil and tranny fluid
-removed the oil pan and gasket
-cleaned everything we could get our hands on(lots of oily grime from the leaking engine)
-sanded and painted the oil pan
-removed the valve cover and gasket
-sanded and painted the valve cover
-installed new gaskets(valve cover, oil pan)
-removed and replaced tranny cooler lines
-installed a new oil pressure switch
-installed new PCV elbows and hoses
-removed and cleaned the entire airbox housing
-replaced the passenger front U-joint
-new oil and tranny fluid
-seafoamed and motor flushed the engine
-removed the cat and installed a straight pipe
-welded an exhaust hanger that snapped(right near the tranny)

Needless to say, the 240k engine loves all the attention she got and is running better than I have ever seen. I am probably going to replace the straight pipe with a glasspack and still need to replace the fuel filter, clean the EGR valve and flush the brake system(and install SS lines).
