Default Getting Ready for my very first build.

Hello all!

Im preparing to get my first Jeep and start my first off road build.
Im not new to the 4x4 world, Ive just never had a chance to build my own untill now.

Currently Im selling one of my cars to help start the project. I should have about $3000 to start off with. I know I can find a decent xj in my area for about $1000, leaving me $2000 to play with

Heres what im thinking:

Rough Country 4.5in lift w/ optional control arm drop and shock upgrade
$674.90

If i dont find one already lifted

Tires: Mud tires Undecided in 31x10.5 or 11.5
I can deff find a set used for $300 to $500 possibly even new.

And this(just because i like it): http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Multicolored...-/110524143095

That leaves me with around another $1000 to play with.

So now I ask the age old question, With $2000 what would you do to a stock xj?

i would invest it strait in long arms at maybe 6" of lift, trust me down the road you will wish you had gone strait to them

I was going to go longarm right away until I found a $150 XJ with a good Rustys lift.
