LOL ! Definitly one of the folks I would listen to when wanting to mod an XJ .

What does bilstein offer if anything that compares to the old 5150 shocks. I was recommended some bilsteins for my other toy.

You'll need to step up to the 5160/65 series. they ain't cheap though....

Yes you can run 5160's instead, but there's an increase in cost by doing so.

I suppose it depends on your type of wheeling ang personal preferences

FWIW,
Irin them on my rear axle and will be putting them upfront before the next wheeling season starts.

The valving gets me ? I will need new rear shocks when I do my 8.8 swap, hope to get your change over kit next week. Shocks soon after that .

The lower the number, the softer the shock.

Soft is great on road, not so much on the rocks....
Firm shocks are the opposite.

Alright, good deal. I'll be calling you Wednesday at the latest to work out details and place my order. How is the install? Is welding required? I have basic hand and power tools.

well it looks like I finally found my jeep! im goin to pick it up tomorrow!

its a 1999 sport.
manual 5 speed!!
and its desert sand pearlcoat!
oh and its a 1 owner car!
EXACTLY what I have been looking for!

151k mile and completely stock!
