Got Big plans for my jeep and i was hopeing some of you guys could help me along the way.
Just bought a silver XJ. and ordered a 6.5 inch x-series lift as well as a the slip yoke eliminator extended drive shaft and steering stabilizer. The kit comes with a transfer case drop kit.

I'm looking to order my wheels and tires now i'm going to start out with 33's and by the time i wear those out ill have saved up enough money to get my front and rear end rebuilt and not have to worry about tearing my drive train up. and ill be putting 35s on it after that. haha i can afford to buy the gears just not to get someone to put em in i was asking around and the general consensus was around 1200 dollars labor... i can do the lift and everything else by my self but i'm not to sure i could do that by myself.
i should have pictures of my stock jeep up tomorrow and a picture of my lift out of the box as well (assuming is shows up on time).
i was wondering if anyone knew off the top of there head what a good backspace was before i order my wheels. I don't want to have to cut my fenders until i get 35s

find a buddy who can do gears. meet him online if you have to. find someone will do it under the table
all the parts and cost of a used rear axle should cost you a little over $1000 after shipping and tax
but you might as well add a locker to that while while you're at it..
just find a guy to do it and tell him you'll bring 2 empty axles and EVERYTHING he needs to fill them. should be able to get away with around $300 in labor
and YES you should cut your fenders to properly fit 35's
