Finally picked up a new engine out of a '91. I plan on starting the swap tomorrow. Going to finish ripping out the old motor ans start cleaning up the enigne bay.

In the process of swapping sensors, clutch, flywheel, distributor, ans intake manifold. I had to order a new clutch. Debating in just getting a clutch disk or the whole clutch kit. The flywheel and pressure plate are not bad at all and can be resurfaced I believe. The disk is almost down to the rivets and has uneven wear.

Updates. I decided to look at your thread. Your Jeep is like the 4door version of mine.

Yeah, pretty damn close lol. I have been taking my time since I am low on cash right now, even though the only real thing I need to buy is the clutch set, which I can get from my work with my discount at $145. Right now I am in the process of cleaning up the good engine and painting it. I degreased the hell out of it and only some of the debris came off. I have been using my wire brush and wire wheel to make it sparkle again. I am using Chrysler Red for the block, and gloss black for pretty much everything else.

Cobra has a fresh Ford motor put in at 12,000 miles. My dad road races it. Got lucky and had it covered under warranty! Full suspension setup, Eibach springs, Koni Shocks, Steeda caster/camber plates (has custom camber/caster/toe), shock braces, seat belt chassis brace, pulley swap, custom Steeda SCT tune, full Borla exhaust, Steeda intake, dual-pass inter-cooler, ARP studs, thicker head gaskets, B&M shifter. He usually drives it at Sebring, Moroso, VIR, Homestead, and a few other tracks.

I like the painted block. You can find the clutch much cheaper. I think a SACHS (oem supplier for jeep) goes for $100 shipped to your door on ebay. Some other brands on rockauto for $105.

$165 is the cheapest clutch set on rock auto.

Been burned on eBay a few times. Plus shipping is a factor. Normally won't get it for a week or 2 after it is paid for
