Default Family XJ

Trade a Ford Ranger V8 swap kit for a 98 Jeep Cherokee. Had a Son bought a house, and My wife is a stay at home mom so I"M BROKE! I was always a Ford guy but there SUV s suck off road. Wanted to be able to take the family out trail riding. Bought a used lift 6" Rough Country with rears $300. Sold front rear for $150. Sold front bumper and wheels for $200. Using tires and wheels off the wife's Ranger for now. Made a bumper from scrap in the yard with a hitch mount for my cooler rack and winch.

Nice touch with the skull. If you really want to get those lights to perform well buy a putco headlight harness. It made a huge difference on my Jeep . Keep up the progress ! Check out my build thread I'm building a family trail rig Also .

New radio, now I can change the stations, maybe play a cd, or even play the ipod! High tech stuff, no more tape deck!

I used to run the radial Super Swampers which were great but they are $240 a tire and the BFGs were $180. I like the 10.5s they run great down the highway, and with the meaty tread and lockers do great on the trail.

Not to put in the Ford Explorer 8.8 rear in the jeep, so it is up for sale! $250 B/O 3.55 gears welded spiders and disc brakes. Also get rid of A Chrysler 8.25 rear out of a 1998 xj $200 B/O
