so this brings us all up to date ive got the entire engine bay stripped of everything pulled motor tranny and t case and exhaust.all the wires are gone sorry no pics yet but will have some soon... and in the meantime while im getting the new motor and tranny and t case situated ill be stripping the inside to. why you ask well with all this extra hp and torque . im putting in a roll cage i saw what happened to the last guy with a lifted xj with v8 power and no cage ....this i must say will be a drastic change in my jeeps life ...............
all questions and comments are welcome .im always open to new ideas and if you see something ive missed just let me know this is my first build thread on here...........

ive been doing a lot of research and heres what ive come up with so far .......
98 5.9 360 magnum out of a dodge ram 1500 truck..
i plan to get rid of all the computers and wires so i didn't get the wiring harness
intake - edlebrock rpm air gap magnum ( 1500-6500) rpm range
distributor - mallory ( hei )
carb - holly 750 ( cfm )
cam - ????? still trying to decide
other than a mild cam and the carb i plan on keeping it mostly stock for now ... theres plenty of speed parts i can throw at this thing but i got to spend wisely to finish the rest of the build ...............
for transmission i plan on using a 46 rh out of a 95 gc now like i said im getting rid of all computers and electronics but i also want over drive for the high way cause i have to drive to all my wheeling spots.. the over drive is computer controlled but most just make a toggle switch on the dash so they can turn it on and off .......... but after doing lots of research i found a forum where the old hot rod guys were trying to get better gas millage and they found a way of doing it. by using pressure sensors to control the tc lock up and over drive its actually pretty simple ..........
and for transfer case im going with a np 231 out of a 96 4.0 grand cherokee
so thats what ive come up with so far on the motor ,trans ,and t case what do yall think?

now i know the aw4 that came out of the jeep had a gear ratio of
AW4 2.80 , 1.53 , 1.00 , and 0.75 and the 44rh that im planing on using has a gear ratio of
44rh 2.45 , 1.45 , 1.00 , and 0.69
now that being said do you think i should re gear the axles since the new ratios are lower . im currently running 3.55 gears in front and rear.... with 33 12.50 15s and planing on running 37 12.50 16.5 when i upgrade the lift.... but 33s for now

sweet man. I cant wait to see pics of this project!! As far as cam's, look into RV torque cam for this. You'll appreciate that much better than a high horse/speed cam when crawling
