So all recent additions are doing great! I'm going to be placing an order for extended brake lines for the front and better headlights. Going to go with the setup that's posted in that headlight thread. Putco harness I think, 80/100 Hella bulbs, and some housing. Think it's like $80 or so. Anything is better than my stock stuff now.

Brief update.

Upgraded to HIDs and changed the gauge cluster bulbs to LEDs.

Ran into an issue where my needles broke off and kinda messed the gauge up. Although it was a learning process lol. The gauge pic was taken in a parking lot, so you can see how messed up it is haha. I have a replacement gauge on its way. Nice upgrade though! Only spent like $8 for a pack of 20 LEDs.

New gauge cluster is in with LEDs and it's great! I also picked up a set of 703 injectors along with a sound bar. I have to replace my mani since I have a leak which makes it sound like a tractor.. Should be a fun month!

Recently put these on!

And in other Jeep news.. I'm going to be looking into getting rid of my 6.5 leafs, along with my leaf sliders. I want to go back to a 3-4'' leaf pack, then use shackles and a relocation kit. My ride is far too rough with this full pack. The sliders help, but it's just the arch of the leafs that's hurting. Not to mention flexing will be nicer! I'm looking into IronMan4x4's shackles/relocation kit. I'm also reverting my HIDs to H4s with a Putco harness. I have yet to install them though.

Subd.... so why did you ditch the leaf sliders and go with the fixed adjustables?

Well I had gotten the sliders because I was using a full 6.5 pack that I got for a nice price from a friend. The ride and flex were pretty bad. I was on a stock shackle with a bad angle and it just wasn't fun. I could get a larger shackle or relocation kit without boosting my rear up another 1.5'' at least. Went down to a 3.5'' RE pack with IronMan4x4's shackle and relocation bracket. I thought I ordered adjustable, since I ordered while chatting with Andy and just sent him the money. It worked out quite well actually. I was worried that I'd need to send them back, but I sit even!

And as far as this build thread goes, my XJ has unfortunately been sitting in storage since August. It was keyed where I live and it draws too much attention from police and others in the city. It's a dedicated trail rig now and I picked up a 5.9 which I've been working on (build page is here: http://thespeedfreaks.net/showthread...-I-mean-Driver)

I'll be moving within a few months and will have a garage to myself and I'll be getting the XJ back up and running. I can't wait for that!

92XJGuy, I was wondering what your updated opinions on the quality and results of the louvers after having them on for a long period of time? How do they hold up in the rain or if you're offroading? Have you had any issues with moisture or water getting onto anything under the hood?

I am looking to purchase a set after I pick up my first XJ and am really drawn to these louvers specifically.

Thanks, Brian
