Starting this thread over.
99 Gunmetal Pearl XJ
Bought it in the fall of 2011 with a 3" RC Lift and some 31" BFG all terrains
cheaply modded it for the next 2 years or so. remained my DD until about a year ago I bought an 06 Passat as a DD and family car.
and that's how it's been sitting in the garage for awhile. she runs but needs a few things to drive safely. I miss her so here goes my second attempt to build my xj.

she sits in the garage like this right now.
threw on some 33x12.5 KM2s on 17x9 d windows
hood latch is broken so I'm putting in hood pins tonight.
plans for the next week or so are to patch up my leaky valve cover, replace my heater core, and replace all my fluids
also need to get her to an exhaust shop and have a wheel rebalanced that is causing some gnarly death wobble at about 35-40
I have some "gym rubber" insulating foam on the way in the mail and it should be here next week. my plan is to cover the whole interior in the stuff, the floor, doors, cargo area, and roof.
under the hood
interior shot. i want to get those rips covered somehow.
started ripping the rear out. i've been all over the place with it

cleaning up
it's a jeepmass miracle.. surface rust but SOLID floorboards! !!!
the only thing that was rusted through was a small patch on the inside of each rocker panel

this is going to be terribly slow, i apologize (if theres even anyone out there reading this, lol)
got in the garage last night and finished putting the foam down on the floor
I still have one full sheet of the 1/8" stuff. Not sure if i wanna use it for the roof or doors, or just buy more and do them both. I need to get the carpet back in and see if the stuff on the floors even worked first
anywho, a couple pictures
vacuumed and shampooed the carpet, much better!
its been drying since last night, and i hope to get the whole interior back together tonight FINALLY
Then it'll be time to get her back on the road!

haven't done a thing lately due to the holidays and this freezing *** cold BUT i got something very cool that I've wanted for awhile
lg g pad 7.0 with data that was FREE when i bought the lady a new phone !
going to run it integrated permanently in the dash using a double din kit. currently setting it up using nova launcher, and I'll use tasker to make it work like it came from the factory (auto on, off, etc. and a custom ui so that you can hardly tell its a tablet) not to mention i have a lg phone so I'll be able to easily make calls and view texts without even taking out my phone.
im also planning on running torque for diagnostics
can't wait to get this in

Interior refresh came out nice. Where'd you get the gym liner and any updates on it? Any issues with the ebay header? Most seem to have more issues with the gasket that came with them then the header itself.

yes i still need to get some nice shots of the inside! very happy with how it turned out. ive only driven it once since i finished it but i could definitely tell a difference. well worth the 80 bucks for 3 4'x 8' sheets. i only used two of them so far, ill probably order another and do the doors and roof.
i got it from foambymail.com. if you go under the commercial tab, closed cell foams, its called gym rubber. that website is awesome, they also have great prices on acoustic foam for studios and you could even build a nice mattress for a couple hundred bucks using stuff they have, lol.
the ebay headers are nice. i do think i tossed the gasket, it was a piece of crap. but the header itself was well worth it. I'm not sure what could be any different or improved with paying any more for a name brand

Id guess the better ones would be a better grade of stainless. ebay ones are probably the first grade you can call stainless, but good to hear since i was about to pull the trigger on one to replace my cracked manifold!

i guess, thats beyond my knowledge. i bought the shiny black one thinking "sweet this black is gonna be badass" i should've known that for 120 bucks it wasn't gonna last lol.
in other news i swapped two of my tires around and my deathwobble is gone, as well as finally put the benches in the rear.
both of my bpe s for the rear shocks are frozen and ive had a hell of a time trying to get them off and it always ends with me cold and pissed off so I'm still running only two shocks. i need a dremel or something small with some power that i can get at the bolts with, and i need to get my exhaust welded and she should be ready to dd again!
