Default D60 XJ BUILD Questions

I didn't search this because Im looking for feedback on a build I'm attempting. Here goes:

1.I have a 79 f350 d 60 (kingpin etc etc etc) Its going in my 2001 2 door xj. For any of those who have already done this exact axle upgrade any pointers?

2.Were you able to swap without cutting down and not having any major driveline issues?

3. Anything thoughts on my case and yoke lining up? It appears I can get it close leaving my driveshaft in same location but my passenger side is the concern.

Any thoughts advice etc would be great. If this build is done and there is a thread for it please advise. I can find xi's with different axles upgrades I just haven't found one with this axle for this year ford.

Thanks

First, welcome to the forum but you have posted this in the wrong section so do not be surprised if it gets moved.

Next, saying you want to swap it in is very vague. What time of suspension are you planning to use? Leaf springs or links and coils/coilovers?

Many have swapped full width axles in without cutting them down so it can be done. You do not need the pinion and TC to perfectly line up. Below are a few threads of a Ford D60 being swapped under an XJ.

There are plenty more builds on here that can help you out but these two are the most recently updated ones I found in my quick search.

Awesome thanks. Coils front leafs rear. Once i get it set up im plannin on removing the coils and goin coilover. Standard lift set up will make gettin the right coilover much easier if I already what ride height im goin for.

You say tcase doesnt have to line up? Thats makes this much much easier.

Thanks in advance as Im sure yall be answerin more questions.
