Default COS's Builds:

OK, this is what I've been up to the last couple of weeks after work. I finished the rear bumper, and it is ready for paint. Funny, we don't typically get a lot of rain, but we have been getting slammed with it here lately, and it has rusted the things I've been working on. I'll just sand them clean before paint. Here is the completed rear bumper.

Here are the rails I put on, I still need to cap the ends, sand everything, and paint.

Here is the HD tie rod that I built, sanded and ready for paint. I still have to fab the drag link, then the X-over steering will be done!!

Now for the ugly part!! This is all of the crap I have to put on....OUCH!!

Just a couple more things to fab, and the rebuild of the front end. I should be starting on the front end Monday or Tuesday. My buddy has a race car on the chassis lift right now, so I have to wait until he gets that completed and off the lift. I think that once I get started, it will only take a few days to finish!! I'm looking forward to that for sure!!

Tie rod under, drag link over. It won't a "high steer", but it will be fine, IMHO. It is 1.5"X.250" wall DOM, so it should be super stout!!

Do you have to change/alter the knuckles or steering gear at all?

I have to drill out the knuckles, to accept grade 8 bolt, other than that, I don't think there are any more changes.

Yes, it is just 1/4" angle. I'll cap the ends before it's complete. I think it will be tough and functional.

It would be hard to find any rails tougher than those.
