I really like the General Grabber AT2s. Seem like a great all around tire and they're nice and quiet on the freeway.
And the 3" lift and 31s sucked. All the shocks were blown/leaky and the ride was pretty harsh and the 31s liked to wander. Plus it was painfully slow. 85hp doesn't go very far. And not having 4x4 (because of the lack of a front driveshaft) really sucked in the winter. Good thing those AT2s have good snow and ice traction.
So far it looks like I'm averaging about 25-30mpg (Not sure if fuel gauge is reading accurately. Says I'm at about half a tank. 400mi/16gal=25mpg. 400mi/13gal=30.8mpg). That's with city/freeway driving, lots of merging/accelerating, foot to floor and ~10psi boost to maintain speed up hills, cruising at 65-70mph, etc. Not too shabby for a 30-year-old French diesel. Lol.
Gunna be addressing a couple leaks (like CobraMarty said) soon. Other than that, it's been happily clacking away as my daily driver. Just need to get the a/c working.......

Rolled over 198k a little while ago. The little diesel has been sitting for a couple weeks because I haven't been doing much driving lately.

I need to be enrolled in Cherokeeaholics Anonymous.....
Just bought my diesel XJ a diesel sister with 85,000 original miles, automatic, 4x4 and comes with a bunch of spare parts..... And supposedly comes with a veggie fuel system conversion that's ready to install on one of the spare engines.
This thing is so clean. Picking it up later this week when I get my tow rig back from having motor mounts done.

Thanks for the heads up. Initially was not interested at the original price. He dropped the price and was just too good of a deal for us to pass up.
Owner is a super nice guy, tons of 2.1L deisel kowledge.
Lots of spares. A 2.1 diesel engine and manual trans he took out of his rusted out YJ. Trying to think what to do with it.
Maybe a Rat Rod Jeep with a 2.1L diesel rolling coal and veggie oil burner smelling like french fries.

Yeah, been daily driving it actually lol. Now that I have that other diesel XJ, I'm gunna be looking to sell this one relatively soon.
Gunna probably list it for 6k obo. Thing still runs like a top. Recently did a 200 mile round trip with it. Cruised at 70 the whole way. Averaged about 25mpg. I've had it as high as 30mpg if I drive like a granny.

I CAN'T DO IT CAPTAIN. IM GIVING IT ALL SHE'S GOT!!!!
And nah. The clackyclackys are just sitting in the driveway waiting for me to give them some love. After Moab I'm going to fix them up real quick and start using them and taking pics.
The one needs a full brake job and a new electric lift pump. Other needs nothing. Still need to swap the 32 gallon tank and new tires out of the Gold one and put them on the Brown one.
