Pretty much finished all tube doors today. Making number 4 tomorrow and this project is in the bag. Then paint of course but thats simple.

Might put another diagonal piece in the middle, might not. Not sure what I wanna do yet.

Here's how I did the rear latch. Decided to make my own custom approach. Basically cut out a notch so it moves of the door striker. Just need to drill a hole through it and put a drop pin in it and boom.

Also in other news. I got my Ironman4x4fab lower control arm mounts in for my 30 build. Forgot how beefy they are!

Might make some rock sliders later this week real quick time depending. I have a wheeling trip next weekend.

Finished up all the welding and grinding on the doors today. Here's few pics of todays festivities.
I find the driver door to be such an eye sorer sitting at an angle. Gonna have to come back and fix it later.

This is how I did the rear door latch. Just have to use a small pin and she stays closed.

TJ mirrors for the win!

Now I have to shut up and paint.

Went out and played this past weekend to Uwharrie National Forest in NC. Had a great time and actually got to crawl for once. I spend more time working on it than wheeling it. Sad world.
Anyways here's a few pics from the weekend. Nothing seemed to be that difficult although some made it out to be. Didn't get pics of the hardest trail I did but it wasn't that bad.

Definitely going back as soon as I can. Much more ground to cover there. I'm building a D30 on the side and will be dropping in a volvo locker in it. So things will get a little more interesting down the line. Stoked.

Didn't know you were in the NC area. Might have to visit ironman4x4 since you speak highly of them. Keep up the good work, got some nice rear shackles

Thanks. Definitely quality products.
Currie Currectlync steering hopefully will be here by next weekend. Just bought it off a member on here.
Also have a 7075 Aluminum tie rod being made by ironman. So hopefully everything will get here around the same time. Much excited and much broke lol

Nice build brother. An enlisted budget build isn't a bad thing because now you actually have to put thought into what you need instead of "oh, shiny!" Hooah!

You make a valid point. I've notice there are a lot of people around where I'm at that think buying nice shiny "cosmetic" things is what makes you cool. I just try to put my money into things that count.

I got my new currie steering in today. Bought it off codenamefa on here. Good show sir.

I already have a 7075 aluminum tie rod being made by Ironman Andy. After lifting the currie tie rod today, I'm glad I did. That thing is pretty heavy.
Also I totally forgot to share my C gussets awhile back. These are the Artec ones for the knuckles. For 79 clams, what you get I believe is quite the deal.

This weekend will be fun. To do list:
-Paint steering
-Weld on LCA bracekts
-Weld on C Gussets
-Install steering
-Drink beer and be merry

Let the welding begin.

Welded in the C Gussets and Lower control arm mounts. Axle tubes also got welded up. It was a good day

Here's what happens when you super heat balljoints

I'll be running synergy balljoints. These stock ones were sacrificial to keep the holes from warping.
Next on the to do list is my steering. But I'm still waiting on my tie rod to get here from Ironman.
Until then...I'm kind of just like...what should I do with my life.
