Swapped in a grant steering wheel with a quick release hub from ruff stuff and Did the WJ booster and master swap tonight. Haven't gotten to drive it around the block yet but I rolled it around the drive way and it seems to stop much better then it did before. Can't wait to take it for a test drive tomorrow

WJ booster was one of the best upgrades I did for safety. Stops 35s like they're nothing in comparison to 33s with the stock single booster

Did a little update to the OBA today. The Jeep came with an air tank mounted under the bed but it was never hooked up. Decided to finally hook the tank up to my ARB compressor and I added some air chucks to fill up tires and whatnot

Saw you at RC yesterday, any trail shots? Looks perfect, that cooper MJ was a beast too

I was in my maroon 2 door with half doors. Not even close to your build haha but on 35s we were having fun on all the trails we went on.

New bumper from the flop shop off road installed along with cheapo HF winch to get me by until I decide to buy a warn

Rear ARB installed in the 8.8. I hated the way the Detroit behaved on the street with having a 5 speed. It drives much better on the road now with being able to unlock the rear

No real updates lately. Been focusing my spare funds on the upcoming holidays. I did manage to order and install this new stinky fab trans mount after my stock one took a beating on my last wheeling trip. Planning some upgrades starting right after the new year though

PM XJWonders, support the members here. Just saying, his mounts are beef and have had no regrets going to his.
Can't remember price difference, but to note the bushing material used by Dallas is proprietary, not off the shelf poly. Not trying to knock XJwonders at all (bought stuff from him myself), just that it's not an apples to apples thing. Love the build, always wanted to build a really clean lifted MJ, but between my buggy and another XJ I'm building, I'll just have to fill the void with threads like this :D |

I don't know. Might be backed up with orders. I have his poly mount with rubber brown dog engine mounts and no issues. But since I raised the trans up with the mount the tcase touches the tunnel and increases idle vibrations from that more so than the mount bushings.

updates???

Think he sold it.

Love the build. I have similar specs to yours 4.0 ax15 ford 8.8.
I'm seriously researching the 241OR swap to help with rock crawling in a 5speed. What did you do with the flange output on the case and flange output on the pinion? Is it possible to have a double cardan with 2 flanges like that? |
