Well the Battle Wagin has fallen on hard times. I've got this incredibly loud clack clack clack going on and started blowing white smoke out the tail pipe. So she's stuck at work until I can get her towed home. Hopefully I didn't blow a rod and it's just some balance issues.

Hey, man, been following your build and I'm lovin' it! Took your idea of bedlining my rockers and lower doors, but messed up somehow....Probably lack of primer. And planning.
Gotta get it off and start over, the right way! Did you ever find out what grounded the 'Wagon?

Couple of us in HRJC decided to give RED82 a little surprise today. Basically his Jeep has been down due to some sort of knocking that's coming from the motor and it's just been sitting there waiting to be worked on. Michael (red) is a pretty busy guy, but he's a great guy, always helping others out and spending time with his family like a good husband and father should. So we decided to help him out without him knowing it. He was pretty surprised when we showed up to "steal" his Jeep and start working on it.
Getting the winch remote so we could get it on the trailer:

Loaded up and ready go:

And this is what we found after pulling the valve cover and draining the oil:

So we starting getting things prepped to possibly pull the engine:

We've got it down to just needing to pull the head to see what the full damage is and then we'll go from there.

And here's what we found...

Here's the rest of that #4 piston

Head is shot. The piston went sideways and chaos ensued. Time for a new engine Michael. Thankfully we already have a lead on one due to us suspecting the motor was shot. We were hoping the tear down would have better results, but...well, it didn't. Oh well. It's still fun tearing an engine apart.
