About a 4 inch wide slice straight through the sidewall. Love duratracs but God damn they have thin sidewalls.

So the jeep still needed some final touches. The rear axle was a bit narrower than the front so I added 2 inch wheel adapters to compensate. In hindsight, the rear axle being narrow would have helped with turning on the trail but the symmetry makes me feel better. The rear shocks were also way too long for the high clearance axle mounts. The new mounts moved the shocks up about 4-5 inches causing them to be essentially bottomed out at normal curb weight. So I went to Napa and got a set of stock length shocks for about 30 dollars, until I figure out what exactly I want to do back there.

So my new axles are on, I'm aligned square and ready to go. The thing holding me back is my lack of rockers. Over time the got beat up and rotted more and more, and eventually I was going to start damaging the body and ruin the bottoms of my doors.
