An Aussie XJ
Bit of a Back story:
Bought this back in 2011, it didn't even survive one trip, was a good car but financially I couldn't afford it so parted it out

Paid next to nothing for it, so wasn't a big loss

Fast forward to a couple of years later........
My son needed a first car, so bought this:
Just going to be a mild build,
2 inch lift
31's
Smittybilt front bar, which will have headlight hoops made up for it for a bit more headlight protection
Snorkel
Window tint
Those things will happen very quickly as I'm paying for it, but anything else he will be paying for!!!
He will be learning to drive in it, whilst learning about cars at the same time, but more importantly just using it on weekends away in the Vic high country.

He has already spent 4 hours detailing it making it look a lot better than what it looks now, all the plastics are grey again, no longer faded
Now for the mechanical parts to get it to a RWC standard so it can come home and we can tinker there on it instead of at my work
Parts started turning up today:
Adjustable front panhard and heavy duty tie rod linkage
New tyres:
Achilles mud terrain, 31x10.50 15 on Black dynamic 15x7
Ordered a budget boost whilst I sort out suspension options and ordered a Smittybilt XRC front bar.

Smittybilt bar turned up today, fitted it after work, relatively painless but the instructions were not very clear with grainy photos, but got there in the end!!!
Fitted up budget boost, surprisingly the rear shackles weren't seized!!!!
Looks like a completely different car, my son is so excited.
In preparation of his first weekend away, We bought some Rhino gutter mount legs off eBay and "borrowed" the Crossbars and roof tray from my wife's Prado
We fitted it up tonight, now we have somewhere to mount the spare until he saves up for a rear bar:
