Yeah I'm thinking about redoing them with some thicker metal and maybe recess them a bit more towards the front. They look 20x better than before I shot the bedliner at them. For only like 60 bucks total including metal and the bulbs they are a whole lot better than before.

That's what I think I'm going to do. Maybe integrate it into quarter panel guards too. I guess we'll see.

That would be cool. Hard fabricating stuff without a bending machine and all that good stuff

Yeah no kidding haha. These were made with a hammer, a 2x2, a C clamp, and self tapping screws.

If I had a bench I would have too. But beggars can't be choosers right? And now that they're painted they look loads better.

Got a few more things done today. Finally took all the bolts out of my rear doors since all I did was cut the heads off of them. Getting new bolts in the next few days. Also fixed my top drivers door hinge so that door has both hinges again. Re-aligned my passenger door so it lines up a lot better. Then I got the third bolt for my transfer case skid drilled and bolted up. All this while x91j came by and swapped his trans mount since that was bad. Getting closer to getting my to do list done.

Just got home from dinner at Dog N Suds right by my house. Every Saturday night they have a classic car show it's like a drive in restaurant. But 5 minutes into eating my dream car just happens to pull in...

Shelby AC Cobra with the 427 and racing harnesses. I drooled a little bit when he pulled in

Went through and re-tightened every suspension bolt I could get a wrench on and then went and got an alignment at the local Merlin's. Hopefully I'll have some more interesting updates in the near future. Probably not this weekend though since my best friend and future best man is a Marine and he's coming home for the weekend. So pretty much gonna be a party all weekend haha.

So Badlands trip is this weekend. Got a few things I need to get done before then though. I need to re-do my front tow hooks with some better washers and a way to keep the strap on the hook. I want to cut off my tail pipe and get a turn down on it since the tail pipe hangs way low and looks like **** and is gonna get caught on something I know. I am also going to do the seafoam treatment and fix some of the damn rattles I have going on since they annoy me to no end. And I'm picking up x91j's old 8.25 for mine in about a half hour so I may attempt to get that done before as well. Other than that stuff I just need to pack up for the weekend and get the XJ loaded up and ready to go.
