no it's not bad enough to be totalled or parts.
guy driving was drunk driving on a 35mph hilly road on an 07 harley 1450 (or something of that sort) with a girl on the back and aaron had just turned (cross lane so turning left) into a driveway. he came to a complete stop before turning and saw nothing and he was 95% into the driveway when the bike hit the xj. the bike was in the gravel, on it's site, with both people going head-first on it. the girl's face smashed the front right rim's center cap and she will need much reconstructive surgery...the guy's left arm pretty much exploded and parts of his bones were on the ground. bike is salvageable though.
they've confiscated both vehicles, in order to figure out exact weight ratios etc. to reconstruct the speed of the impact (and from the skid marks from the FRONT tire on the bike...yea...didn't use rear brakes just shows how drunk he was) and the speed prior to the drunk locking up the wheels. it was initially a max of 14 days for the jeep, but it will be roughly 6-9 months that the state will have it, as evidence for the court case against the drunk driver...who WILL be charged with felony "endangerment of another human being through intoxicated use of a motor vehicle" as well as an OWI.
the po-po screwed up the police report however, as they did not look accurately at which tire the jeep spun on (i.e. impact was hard enough to spin the jeep 90 degrees and it pivoted on the front left tire...cops think it was front right which would put the jeep farther into the road than it actually was).

the cops (jeep fans) are trying to get the jeep back to aaron a.s.a.p. since aaron needs it...plus it's not exactly like they're gonna drive it into the court room. a picture will do.

if anything, since the guy already has a ton of **** on his record plus has no insurance, it'll be going to aaron...provided of course the state doesn't put it to auction and remove his rights of ownership.
the guy is screwed, and most definitely going to jail. the axle got pushed back enough to pull the slip out...and the slip was in about 2.5" on the tail shaft. I don't think the axle has been moved back...it is probably an optical illusion from the flat tire.

well, the guy is gonna be in jail. the estimates are tabbed onto his fines and Aaron will get them before the guy is off of probation...$3000 in damage.
Aaron is finally allowed to pick it up...so he's on his way to get it right now. needs to put the rear dshaft back in it and swap a tire to drive it home. pics l8r
