Hopefully I can get it together by the end of the month, I’m ready to start driving it!

Today I painted the grill inserts primer/black/clear. 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear. I also got the angle iron welded in for the rockslider. Waiting on some weld through primer before I weld in the rockslider so it looks like that’ll happen this weekend. Very excited to get the front clip reassembled!

Well after what feels like a long time the rocksliders are finally done and the front clip is back together!

Great progress. Looking really good. You'll be very pleased with your decision to go through all of this work once its back together.

Got the front fender armor on today and working on trimming and welding the rear fenders as well. The armor makes the fenders solid, no more flimsy sheet metal.

Put a bunch of work in on my trailer conversion too. Had to get this done as it is blocking my jeep in my side yard, not to mention it’s going to rain in two days so I need to get it painted this weekend.

Your most recent photos show 265/70-16 tires. Do you plan to stick with those? If yes, why not larger tires? You've made room for them.

Relocated the parking brake bracket, sprayed some primer and white spray paint on the rear fenders to prevent rust (I’ll shoot paint on the whole rig one day). Today was momentous. For the first time since I tore the jeep apart it went for a quick drive today. She got washed and cleaned out. Just need to seam seal and make some alignment adjustments before I start driving it. This point was on Sept 29th I forgot to update

Ended up redoing my steering with the tie rod under the knuckle and drag link on top. The tie rod and drag link are within .75 degrees of each other and I can drive over speed bumps at 30mph no hands/no bump steer with it’s current set up. I aligned it at my buddies shop. So far I’ve driven it about 300 miles freeway/city and no death wobble. The rubicon gladiator fox shocks are very average performers. I will be changing them out when funds allow but that won’t be anytime soon. This build took about 6 months from the point of teardown to being able to drive again. Next on the list is to cage it, seam seal, and interior. But the rest of this build will be a slow roll as I have a baby due in January and will be directing my focus on the house remodel.
