Thanks guys. So what should the next thing I do be? I got time on my hands this week and next week. Should I do half doors, roof rack, get some red and black bucket seats or what?

Ok a quick write up on how I did my hinges for the curious ones. I took my doors off so I could have room to work. I ground off the top and bottom of the pin. Then beat it out with a punch and a hammer. I got some bolts that go through and just stuck a nut on the other end. Now I can pop the nut off, slide the bolt out, take door off. The nut is only finger tight too so no tools needed.
My half doors I convinced the guy to let me cut them off so I could keep the half the hinge I needed to make it go on and off easier. So I just ground the top of the pin and beat it out.

Ok I finally found a guy parting out a jeep with parts that fit mine so I jumped on his doors. I got them to the shop where we gutted them. We then did some measuring and made a cardboard template to mark where to cut. Then we cut the top of the doors off. We mocked up a template for the tops of them, traced it on the sheet metal, cut that out too Then we test fit. It was a little over, but its easier to trim metal than add more onto it.

After all that came the fun part. We welded the top plate onto the doors. First we tacked it all the way around, and use a hammer to make it form to that bend. Then we came back and welded all around. Finally used a grinder to touch up and make it smooth(ish) all around. Now its ready for bondo, sanding, and paint. I will be making a panel for the inside and top, as well as making the new door handle location. Will have that stuff up sometime next week if I get time to get in the shop and work on them some more.

I must say I love the way it's turned out soo far!! I know most of the guys are saying they don't like the pvc snorkel but it actually looks good. The Safari one looks better but it's pretty damn pricey so thumbs up for the custom fab to save some money
I'll definitely be subscribing to your build thread

Thanks to both of you! I didn't think it looked that bad, but I do have an idea to make it look a little better. Yeah spending $30 beat spending $500 for the ARB one. I am in Round Rock which is right above Austin.

It just takes time, patience, and money haha. Thank you. Its been a good project so far. Soon it might be seeing its longest trip yet which will be it's true test. I want to fix my stuck lifter first though.
