$1500....i say u got it real cheap. A XJ in the same condition here in Dubai would cost around $2900 or more.

nice build

Haha yeah see what boredom does to me. It's just temporary though. I'm fabing up a nicer one, and wanted to get the angles and stuff right.

Well I finally finished sealing the airbox, and running the stuff under th hood. The snorkel is now fully functional. Down the road instead of fabbing up a cleaner looking one, I'm gonna just splurge and buy one I think. I also got an update and my 6.5" RC lift and it was it will be here tomorrow the 12th. Its suppose to rain for the next 2 days though so hopefully I can get in the shop otherwise I'll be getting wet haha.

Lookin good man, and yea the snorkel looks a lil better painted. Its still pvc tho. I like how the jeep is turning out! Trim those fenders or build some fender flares! keep it up bro. If u have questions,i have answers.

The fenders would've been trimmed by now, but I don't want my tires to look even smaller than they already will with 6.5" of lift. Once I get some 36s I'll trim them though for sure and get flares.

How much extra did you have? Your work got me interested in getting rid of my push pin deally that its had since I bought it. But I have one of the stupid overhead consoles. I may grab one from the JY with out one and use it, if I can't find one, I would need a lil more material.

Looks great so far btw, specially like the home brew snorkel, I'll have to run that one by my pops, he been curious bout a cheap solution to snorklin.

I don't think it looks bad. Maybe it might look better though if you put a bend in it to follow the angle of the windshield it would look a little less pipeish, and some mesh steel in the opening? Sweet.

I just always thought that the price of snorkel kits was outrageous. Maybe Im not looking in the right place? Plus, I'd want to eliminate the stock airbox all together, and the kits I've seen just dam it up, and put a hole in it. It seems like there would be a better design.
