Update!

So I sold the blue jeep back in Feb of 18 while starting a new job. I got away from Jeeps in general for the past year. One day last week the wife said "I miss the old Jeep, we should get another one...".

So without letting her changer her mind we picked up another XJ. 1997 Country w/ 155K on her. Drives well for an older jeep. Even has cruise and A/C. Tracks pretty straight at 70mph. Shell definitely need some love.

Looks like Tinypic is shutting down. Ill have to reload some of my images.

Little update- I had a few things delivered from amazon to quiet down the jeep. I also made a couple junk yard runs for some 4 hole injectors and a '99 model intake manifold.

Also threw a set of BFG's on it. 30x9.5x15 KO2s. The spare BARELY fits in the original location.

Its a Midland GMRS radio. Kinda like a CB radio. I havent connected the corded microphone with the push to talk button. The antenna wire is routed up through the header panel and up onto the roof where the antenna sits. I left a couple feet of wire to eventually mount it to a roof rack.

Sherpa (cream) from Joanne Fabrics. Was like $30 bucks or something for the size required to cover everything.

I liked that tire carrier you had on the old blue one. Thinking of doing the same on the new one? Where did you get it? Been looking for ways to get an 85 pound tire on the back of mine without a whole new bumper.

P. S.. Nice snorkel

I really liked the carrier on the old one too. I got it off a junk yard jeep. It was a 95/96 I think. Pulled all the brackets off and painted them with Grade 8 hardware. I doubt youll find one unless someone is selling their jeep with one already installed on it from the factory. Theyre hard to come by.
