Default 99 Full width XJ

This is my 99 XJ project. It has a Dana 44 front Ford 9" rear with 4.56 gears and Detroit locker. 10" Lift consisting of Clayton Long arm crossmember with custom long arms, Rustys 9" coils and extra oem isolators for just a little extra and 4" lift Comanche leafs to lift the rear. Also have a modified ARB Bull Bar with Warn M8000 Winch and custom rear bumper.

Dana 44 before the 6 lug outers

Super Short SYE

Ford 9" 4.56 Detroit Locker Custom 6 lug Moser Shafts
Chevy 1/2 ton Standard Calipers and 2001 Chevy 1/2 ton rotors

Getting Started

The 4" Comanche springs push the axle back almost 3" but i wanted to use them for the softer ride and better flex so this was the remedy

I had to cut off the old brackets and put the new ones in place movnig the axle back forward

I used Auto Zone Special Chevy drop shackles for the rear also only $30

and heres how it sits so far just waiting for the rear axle to be bolted in and then have to put the bumpers on

11/23/2011 (pardon the crappy pics)
Its driving now

Theres plenty more flex just need bigger things to drive on :teehee:

3/31/11
Heres how its sits with the ARB on it

6/18/11
Got the Rear bumper on and now got the Bushwackers just need to put them on (thanks Beejers)...few pics flexin to

Heres after the new tires 16/38.5-15 TSLs....need to get more hardware to put the rear Bushwackers on and also my Warn M8000 winch cam today...also note i still havnt trimmed the rear at all...the factory flare is actually still on the passenger side in the rear

the 9" and D44 are both 65" wms-wms...the 35s are on 15x10 wheels with 4" backspace and the 38.5s are on 15x12s with 4" backspacing......no wheel spacers here

wasnt ready to go to a 16" wheel at the time, Dana 60 High pinions are expensive, and i like the better ground clearence and less weight of a ford 9"....in hte future im planning on a Dana 60 front and the full floating 9" conversion with 8 lug

I Like the way you moved the front mount forward to keep the axle centered. I plan on doing a wb stretch using the rear mount, and using the MJ leaves I have. Cool idea.. and KUDOS for being different
