long arm setup is only way to go in my eyes if its in your budget i never really got into wheeling a short arm jeep other than my tj, my xj at 6.5 climbs more ledges than my buddies short arm 6 inch with 35s, i think overall the system has less bind than a short arm kit, stonger, rides 80-85 down highway with 35s and no sway bars front or back like it did stock minus the huumm from the tires. and skid plates/ beefy cross member to tie in that unibody more. Lol i like my hood vents i dont care for the small ones i think they look good, thats not my jeep with them im installing them this weekend so ill take pics of the process, im also putting my full 1/4 armor on

Looks nice.
Why do you plan to chop the top? It's so clean. Do you intend to close it back up and make it look good or just hack it off?
Saying because I chopped mine. I love it but I couldn't bring myself to cut it until the hatch and d-pillars were damaged beyond repair.

If you have the means to do it correctly then I'd say go for it. I love the way they look. Find yourself an MJ tailgate, narrow it and install it on the Jeep and close the back in. That would look awesome!

Mines no where as purdy but that's not what I'm worried about.
Like I said. I just hacked the top off. Then I cut a rectangle in the remaining 90% of the roof. There's about a 6" strip of roof left all the way around now. I'm waiting on the guy to finish making my canvas "top" for me at the moment.

I really need to start taking pictures with my camera instead of my phone.

I am too. I just haven't got around to doing it yet.
I plan to add a lot more to the cage. I'll be adding harness bars for the front and back seats, X to the roof bar and to the floor.
Brace the roof up a lot more and go thru the fire wall to the front bumper.
I'm waiting on the guy to finish my top so I can install my Corbeau seats and harnesses and all that garb.
