yea im thinkin 2 coats black and a glossy clear. that'll look real nice! and yes i just ordered new 100W bulbs for the lights on the brushguard! from 55w to 100w will a 25amp fuse be enough?

I would imagine that would be enough for two lights, but I'm not sure about that, would have to run the math. The other thing to keep in mind is the wiring. Make sure the wires are heavy enough, if you haven't already.

the mathematical formula (known as ohm's law) is E/IxR
E = to volts (electromotive force)
I = Amps
R = Resistance
that formula includes resistance (not important right now)
the other one is P/IxE
P = power in watts
I = amps
E = volts
so you have two 100 watt bulbs...that equals 200 watts total
200 / (13.8volts running, 12.6 volts (actually around 12 when loaded) when not running) equals 14.49 amps running and 16.6 amps when not running. 25 amp fuse is ideal although you could get away with a 20. and 14 gauge wire is cutting it close. 14 will work when your engine is running, and it will work when its not running also, but for extended periods of time (with the motor off) the wires might get warm, especially when the voltage starts dipping below 12 and the lights start pulling more amps. they actually pull more amperage because the voltage goes down. incandescent lights are pretty much a heater...as they heat up the resistance (opposition to current flow) increases. so as voltage drops, so does the resistance, thus drawing more amperage although most of the time its negligible because the only time the resistance lowers enough to actually draw noticeably more current is when the filament is cold. this very low resistance causes a very short spike in current soon as you turn on the lights, and that heats the filaments up quickly.
now thats a tangent if ive ever seen one...anyway
in houses 14 gauge wire is good for a 15 amp circuit. go to a 20 amp circuit breaker you have to use 12 gauge wire. if i were you and you i had some extra cash, i would get some 12 gauge wire just to play it safe. but its not necessary.
theres your number crunching
