So where in Kentucky are you located, I live in Tennessee but very close to Albany. There is some very good wheeling around here if you wanted to go sometime, alway looking for new wheelers.

I'm in Louisville, but end up down your way multiple times a year. I fish a lot at Wolf Creek Dam near Jamestown and we often camp there just below the dam. What's going on in your area in the way of fishing, camping, and wheeling?

Well there is dale hollow lake that isn't too far from wolf creek to fish, and there is a very good wheeling area called blackhouse maybe 5 minutes from the dam and gristmill. You should holler the next time your around, I grew up in Jamestown and know it very well.

How jacked up is that?!?! And only about sixty miles apart, too. I'll give you a shout next time I'm down in your area. I visited the Alvin C. York State Park a couple of years ago, just north of Jamestown, TN. Nice country down thataway!

For my money the first thing was a roof rack. It has been the BEST money I have ever spent. (It cost more than the damn truck was probably worth). I have hauled a TON of stuff around and it has saved the interior many times.
500lb load of coal
Make sure you get a good mounting system with yours
Here is a link to the album with all my install pics.

If you're going to haul stuff the rack is the place to start.

I ended up going with this $125 basket I found on ebay and a couple of Thule 300 gutter mounts and load bars I found on craigslist. Overflow camping gear or my mountain bike is all I foresee carrying on top, so this low-dollar setup should serve as a good indicator of whether or not I should upgrade to a more serious setup. It's rained here for like the last six weekends in a row so I haven't been camping with it yet, but hope to try it out before much longer:
I mounted a Cobra 19 DX IV CB radio but still haven't decided how to best mount the antenna. I've seen several hacked-together mounts but nothing that I'd actually pay money for or trust to support a 4' FireStik. I'm going to try getting that sorted out in the next week or two. I've got some aluminum diamond plate (the DeeZee tailgate protectors) that I'm going to cover the rocker panels with too, but have no solid plans to launch that project. A warm, dry Saturday will eventually happen and that will play a major role in getting the rockers covered.
