Bought my Jeep two years ago and it had brand new snow tires on it. The seller only wanted his money back for the tires and didnt want anything for the jeep because it was "to far gone". i thought differently

She needed a bit of work though. The floors were shot at the front. and the rockers were gone. Also many holes in the doors and rear quarters needed to be fixed.

patched the floors and beefed up the seat mount tunnels

I installed a three inch lift and 31" also

I replaced the rockers with 2x6 steel beams that are fully welded in.

rolled some bed liner on the floor because using the old carpet was not an option.

Next step was bumpers and bushwackers

made some rear quarter panel guards out of diamond plate and then applied some spray on bed liner to lower doors rear quarter.

Also installed some lights on the front bumper. rebuilt the front diff and installed new track bar and 1 tone steering

After driving around for a year I decided to go bigger!!!!! BDS 6.5" Long arm kit

Picked up some 33's. the 31's looked a little small!!

While I was installing the lift I also installed a full roll cage and a SYE.

Nice build man. Can't believe someone would feel an xj like that is a lost cause, but someone who knows the value has it now. I'm liking that cage and rockers. Looks like you know your way around a tube bender.

So far I really like the lift kit. was very easy to install. I havent actually got to test it that much because I just finished installing it. My jeep is getting a wheel alignment right now. I have drove around town and so far its seems to ride stiff but not rough in other words when taking a corner the body doesnt roll away on you but when going over bumps it soaks them up nice. It feels like it has suspension but rides harder then a cadillac. Flex wise with the long arm it will keep going and going. For your short arm kit i here they flex very good. you should be really happy with your kit!!!
