Thought I'd start a build thread as I just picked up my XJ not too long ago and will be doing plenty of mods as time goes on. I traded my 99' civic hatch with over $8000 of mods including motor swap, full-suspension, drive-train, etc. etc. for this XJ. I got tired of worrying if someone was going to steal it AGAIN so I posted it on craigslist and out of all the offers I found exactly what I wanted. Clean and even trade. I know she went to a good home.

1996 XJ Classic with Up-Country package.
So far she already has a 1' inch factory lift and 30x9.5 BF All-terrains on 15x8 MB wheels. Not my choice of wheels but I got it like that with brand spanking new tires so I can't complain.

I've got many plans and ideas but you know how it goes... ballin' on a budget
I just received my RC rear 2'' shackles and 2'' front coil spacers and will be throwing them on sometime this week when I get time. Bought an additional 2 items that I thought would fit perfectly..

Once the budget boost kit is on I'm gonna stay on the current suspension setup until I can save up enough money for a 6.5'' long arm.
My plans for the following month; to get it re-tinted 5% all-around as the stock factory tint has turned purple and is completely scratched up, redo the headliner in camo since the stock one has become loose, and find and buy quality projector headlight kit with 6000K hids.

Finally got around to installing the RC Front+Rear 2" spacers and shackles!! Came out with a total of 3 inches and I couldn't be happier!! Top shackle bolts gave me no problems but the front pass side lca bolt made up for that by giving me a headache while attempting to put it back into place

And I also received my center armrest cup holder today! Fcking dope! The side one that mounts by the shifter will fall out of place every couple of days when i have a drink in it and drive me absolutely crazy!!!!!!! But now i've got one less pain in the a$$

Next up in August I'll be redoing the headliner and re-tinting the entire truck 5%

And before I did the BB or anything else I flushed the rear diff with oil and LSD fluid from jeep. It's awesome working at a car dealership cause ill walk into another dealer and say I'm purchasing the products for our dealership and they'll give me wholesale cost

My 96 XJ came with the up country package which is said to be an inch higher than stock. Well when I first picked her up it already seemed as tho the rear end had less wheel gap in the back than in the front. I kinda figured I'd maybe fix the issue with a rough country 2" inch budget boost kit including front spacers and rear shackles. The front end came out looking great but the rear not soo much. The rear end sits about an inch lower than the front and also when I threw the rear shackles on, the one on the right seemed to be kind of bent to the right. Long story short I finished the install and the back is still about an inch lower than the front and I'm still confused about why the right shackle leaf setup looks bent to the right towards the tire... Any ideas lol?
Will post pics of said issue in the morning, any advice as to resolving this issue would be very much appreciated!!!!!

Buddy did my tint yesterday using ATR film which is pretty much the beat stuff on the market. Removed my old tint and retinted 5% all around for $120
