After some research I would have to agree on the input shaft, im 90% sure I can just swap the input shafts, and the transmission I got came out of a 96 Laredo.

So on a lighter happier note I spent some money on the jeep to upgrade its coolness and such for when I get it driving again.

First off, I bought an IRO 2" BB I was going to buy the Rustys off road 2" BB but the IRO one was a whole $50 cheaper For basically the exact same pieces of rubber, anyhow the IRO BB cost me $75 shipped, so that should be here within the next week or so, and with the money I saved going with IRO instead of rustys I was able to spend it over on amazon on a few things that I honestly could have gone without but they were Effin cool haha

First off I got two of these in black, 12" diameter, for my drivers and front passenger doors

I also got this pack

Size: 33.6 KB

And I got this for free!

And finally I got a 3.5mm male to 2 RCA females so I could directly run my Amps off of my phone, It was my cheap solution to the fact that my Sony radio only had a sub out RCA and no Mid/High freq. outs and the Sony head unit didn't push enough power by itself to run my two Sony speakers so when I would get my old sub up to a good volume my mids and highs would destort, and when I tried Amping my mids/highs all they did was play bass notes because I forgot the sub out would not send high frequencies, so now i should be able to send all the Frequencies from my phone right to my amp without having to deal with the head unit at all, this is just temporary since as I mentioned in my original build plans, it will eventually have a nice system ran off of a 7" tablet, but for now I just need to solve my music issue, being as when I went to wire in the harness for my Sony unit (there was no factory radio when I got it, and the kid had cut out the factory harness to so I just had wires) half of the wires did not match up, the only wires that did match up were the power wires the ground wire and the drivers side speakers (front and back door, dash speaker did not work) none of the other speakers worked nor were there even wires for them so I'm just hoping to get myself by until I come across some money for the rest.

I had a couple recalls not taken care of on mine too. I'm thinking about taking her in and getting them taken care of. Why not right?

OK so lots of updates i dont know where to begin, first off im driving it! it drives, but not to good, i guess i just go in order of whats up so first off the transmission

Transmission:
i came up with the money to get the TCM quick learn done, took it to the stealership in newberg, they informed me that the quick learn was $50, i **** my pants because i could have got it done weeks ago, that made me happy, so they took the jeep, and came back 15 minutes later, and the guy said "yea your transmission is shot, and the wiring is messed up" and then gave me my keys and left, i didnt really know what to do, he wouldent answer my questions and so that drove me to a very low point of depression and pretty much gave up on the jeep and i spent a few days trying to sell her. then yesterday idk what changed but i felt a severe desire to try and get the jeep fixed so i took it to the dealership in Mcminville, i told them what was up and what the other dealership told me, and they said they would be more then happy to take a second look at it for me, they took it back into the shop and came back maybe 20 minutes later the guy said "well you have some problems, BUT they are fixable" he proceeded to actually explain to me what was wrong and answered most of my questions, yet he was still to lazy to take the 5 extra minutes to write down the codes for me, so right now im stuck in limp mode, but now i know its saveable im not so stressed, i still have to pull the codes out myself but ill get around to that, and then ill start looking for the new parts.

Transfer case: bad Voodoo, its super hard to shift, 2wd is in the correct place, but 4hi seems to be in a lot of different places, i cant really keep it in 4hi at all, and then i can get it all the way back into 4lo, and then it will pop out of 4lo a lot, and then it grinds hard to go back into 4lo, and it grinds through 4hi, once its in 2hi it drives normal but it take a lot of time and effort to get it all the way down into 2. also when im driving theres a clunk coming from the transfer case area im not sure what it is, any ideas? it never did that before i had to split it, but when i split it i put it together exactly as it came apart.
any help would be apreciated, but honestly id rather swap it to a 242 because i want the 4 hi fulltime and i dont wheel that much so i dont need the extrta strength of the 231.

Electrical: in the last day or two the jeep has has started starting hard, or well, the starter is turning super slow, then it will catch and go, it runs at 9-12 volts, im not really sure, i knew the battery was to small, but im not really sure whats going on with it, thats going to take some of my time later, but for now its on the back burner.

um random stuff, i dont know, i need to work on getting youguys pictures of it, and some videos, that will come soon.

Yea i ended up trading it off for some POS civic a while ago, she just kept giving me problems, id fix one and ten more would pop up, so i pulled the plug.
Right now the PO got her impounded, never put it in his name, i legally own it, and if i had the money would go get it but i dont so i cant.
