Started chopping the tube bumper Before I sand and paint it. Got a pretty cool idea for it as long as it works out

Nice build man! I've grown to really like lifted ZJ's and WJ's. Also, great picture with the kid at the camp fire. Something he'll remember forever, and I'm sure there will be plenty more.

Subbed

Just up the road from you in Little Rock... Man I can't turn my head without seeing a JK. I Saw one today with 40s in immaculate condition.

Love the ZJ Those things look mean, definitely my next build. Hows it compare to the XJ?

There's only about 5 zjs around fort smith with any work done to them I would say that mine is the most "modified" zj I've seen around here and that's not saying much. Love the v8 in it too. The 5.2 can be stout if maintained

Ok finally had time to check out the crazy oil draining from where I originally thought to be my rear main seal but turned out I broke my oil pressure sensor when I was changing my tcase . Lucky I really wasn't looking forward to dropping the exhaust and oil pan and changing the oil pump. Hopefully get the sensor tomorrow if I have time and get this dog back on the road

Got the oil pressure sensor replaced and chopped the front end all stubby this weekend. Haven't got to take it to the woods yet but definitely can't wait to try it out. Should have amazing approach angles now

I wish I lived close to a junkyard. I live out in the sticks, closest one is 45 mins away. I'll just have to hit up the salvage posts here. But can't have it all I guess... At least I live close to some trails.

I like the approach angles, I was gonna get a wench bumper till I got kinda nervous on some of my trail runs. It would have dug in pretty deep. So I'm not gonna go that route.

Man the junkyard here is amazing it would definitely be worth a trip. Robertspartsupick.com is the website. It has inventory list and price list on all the parts. They have around 10 cherokees that are all pretty straight body and nice interior. So I guess it's not a junkyard haha. Hopefully I'll have some time to get out there this week and find some more treasure. I like the receiver mount winch plates man, keeps the winch out of harms way and, out of the weather and can be used in the front and back. Keeps the weight down too so you don't have to use spacers or get new springs like you would with a heavy steel bumper

Holy **** it's been one thing after another with this thing. Rear driveshaft ujoints both went out, next my tcase exploded 2 houses away from my house, got that fixed while doing that I broke off my oil pressure sensor, fixed that and it started cutting out when I pressed the gas to the floor. after going through everything I could think of that might effect fuel delivery I gave up and started installing my exhaust and noticed the catalytic converter was rattling and sure enough that was it. So I knocked it off, thankfully arkansas doesn't have emissions test, and installed my thrush turbo and turn down. Sounds awesome, a little loud but I built this thing to **** ppl off. Back on the road with no issues for now...

Well after all the trouble I've went through getting this thing up and running again I took the wife and kids camping this weekend. Nice swimming/camping spot about a mile down the creek.this is the first time my wife has ever been off road with me. After swimming today we decided to do a little more trail riding at a spot a few miles up the road. Wife wanted to drive so I said sure..... big mistake. She buried the jeep up to the doors in the stankiest mud I have ever seen. I'll upload pics as soon as I can. Long story short, blew out the rear shocks somehow and snapped a front axleshaft. After walking q mile through the woods to a nearby camping area I Lucked out and caught a fellow jeeper who was packing up about to leave but was more than happy to pull me out with his no lift 4 banger tj. Told me if i was in a bronco he would have just left me lol. When will the damage stop I have literally only driven this thing twice the whole summer
