Default 94xj..my new baby

ok so i just bought my 94 xj 4dr about a week ago. to the best of my knowledge i have a crysler 8.25 in the rear. I will be posting pictures shortly so you can correct me if im wrong. but if i am correct, is that a good set up? i dont know squat about axles. other than that its stock. It has 30" bfg med terrains that only have about 2k on them so they are pretty much brand new. Heres a pros, cons, and future mods list. ANY AND ALL OPINIONS AND HELP WILL BE CONSIDERED AND ARE WELCOME

PROS:
well..its a xj
new tires
clean interior
flowmaster 40

CONS:
no cup holders
yeah thats about it

MODS:
a new head unit that will actually play music so i dont sit in silence
drab olive paint with a white star on the door
2.5"front spacers (have just not installed)
new junk yard leafs with an add a leaf and possibly shakles
roof rack. possibly custom
rear tire holder (junkyard)
lights on roof rack
turning my tires around so the white letters show
roll on bed liner in place of carpet.
spray on bed liner possibly in place of my non exsistant headliner
trimmed fenders
blacke seats?
oh yeah, cup holders

Thanks for reading! pics are soon to come

i got a slight flex on a stump in my front yard

heres the rear

and here are my white letters that are hidden for some reason

my rear bumper isnt there... i have tow hooks tho

Nice xj, i like the bfg's on it. And yeah, that is a Chrysler 8.25". Its the better of the two options in the '94. You can usually run up to 35" tires on one.

toogreat, you have a nice rig so far! Love the tires!
But might i suggest a smaller lift? If you take a look at my build thread, I have a 1" on 31's and no trimming and it doesn't rub at all. It looks perfect honestly. I'll be throwing on a 3" here shortly and bumping up to 32x11.5's!
With a 4.5" you may/may not need a SYE and you'll need longer arms/brake lines and this & that..basically more expensive. Why not do a 3" and 31's with trimmed fenders?
With a 3" you could buy some JK take off shocks and be good..they can be had for $0-75 bucks. I have 9 shocks so far because our local jeep dealership throws these babies in the scrap pile. I asked if I can take them and they gave me all of them lol..I bought a set of 4 black bodies for 20, and scored a set of rubicon red bodies for free lol..also got 1 spare black body that was there.
You can bend and relocate your stock brake lines, longer lowers aren't needed but you can get them if you want.

I vote 3" and 31's and a hummer/cowl snorkel, with a locker somewhere in the mix! Also your C8.25 is a 27 spline..not bad but its not the 29 spline either, just wanted to point that out! You won't have an issue for time to come though!
I'm going 3" and 32x11.5's with a lunch box locker up front & some kind of hummer type snorkel.

thats exactly what i want haha.. i know the tires are a little over rated but i love them so much hahahaha. but with 4.5" would i have to worry about extending the brakelines and crap?

I do think you would have to extend the brakelines. I think i read somewhere that yj wrangler brake hoses give you 4". I have a t-case drop and minimal vibes, so you might be able to get away without a sye. Sway bar links or disconnects. Also the track bar is probably going to need to be done. The system i got from rubicon came with everything i needed except some shims for the rear axle to help with vibes.

@Kamaran yeah ill probably go with 3" then cause i wanna go as big as possible without dealing with all the extra crap like brakes and syes and shiz. but i wanna keep a small-ish tire for as much flex as possible.

@SirLasVegas, i know im so excited i can barely stand it >.<

Well...F-150 coils...but it will be a stiff ride, to say the least.
