Excellent! Good luck. Very strong odds are against you unfortunately. I would recommend applying for some local pd jobs as well....open up your odds unless youre dead set on being a trooper. I applied to three local and got into one. 300 applicants, 18 hires. Only 14 of us succeeded in training and are on the street. It is very dissapointing getting that rejection letter as an applicant, just stay the course if its what you really want to do.

The way the State police works is that they will put each candidate that still remains in a band (A-D), A band is the most wanted and continues to D. They start with their slot fillings from A band and go until they are full. So depending on what band I end up in will determine my confidence for this round.

This is why I'm happy to be a veteran. It's a big help in the hiring process for state and government positions. Good luck on getting your dream job though.

So got the call, made B band! Next test next week.
As an update on the Jeep, found out that the shop replaced one of my u joint straps on the d30 with one of their 10mm ones, pissed me off...
But today I picked up a YJ rear brake hose from Napa and tonight, I came home with this PA natural treasure find. It's a '99 8.25 with better pads than my current D35 and for just $100! Picked it up off the CEO of Azzy's Designworks, many of you know them from making Bleepinjeep's Hope Floats gauges, the man was a pleasure to meet and can't wait to buy gauges off of him and meet him in the future. If you haven't checked out their website I recommend it. http://www.azzysdesignworks.com/

Thanks! It's an old board so I didn't care but I can tell it isn't coming back out until the swap hopefully this Sunday. I'll probably take some sand paper just to get the easy stuff off and just hit it with a rattle can, solid cover obviously has to come next for it.

Yea it was worth the weight haha (pun intended). Have new u bolts and drums coming in. I'm going to check it over today for anything else but it seems pretty solid besides the PA rust.

Check those bearings too. Dont want to wobble out the new axle.

Tickered with the 8.25 some today. Broke the bleeders free, replaced the hose with the YJ one, and checked over all the brakes. I ordered new drums last night and found on both drums that the self adjustment hardware should be replaced, everything else looks fine. Also received my Fat Bob's U bolts, they look nice but not a huge fan of them clearing over the threads so you can't finger tighten the bolts but an impact will make quick work anyway.

Little update on the 8.25. Picked up new adjuster kits for both drum brakes and installed them, the tension cables were cut and the adjusters were seized. Decided that I would paint it as well, just took sandpaper and a screwdriver to the rough spots, don't care enough to wire-wheel it all. Now it's all ready to be bolted in come a few days.
