Drove it back home, an epic 55 mile trip. Engine temps stayed at 210 the whole time on the highway. Finding that the speedo is 10mph off now with the stock gears on 35s. Braking feels like i'm on 31s again, even better than on 33s after cleaning/greasing up the brakes. Used about a quarter tank in 60ish miles, not terrible on stock gears I think. For sure need a tower crossmember in the rear, but it'll be fine for now. Next week Rausch Creek

Built to Heal was a success. Sent it through some obstacles and didn't care if I was hitting my skids. 35s ran up the rocks like glue, need a front locker though. Yellow Jacket was my goal, never hit it and always wanted to. Took me a good while but eventually got through on my own with the help of placed rocks from others. Editing more pictures, here's a teaser. All in all nothing mechanical went wrong, Jeep stayed at 210 at it's hottest temps. Have to reweld the rub rails as I slammed really good on them and the booger welds from the HF 90a welder couldn't hold up, the 190a will make a big difference. Didn't touch the tcase skid at all. Jeep still drives 60s one hand on the wheel no worries.

I already have G2 4.56 gears and install kits waiting to go in. Just need to work on a day to get them installed with a buddy of mine. I don't plan on ditching the stock axles anytime soon. If I did would probably be ford 44/9. But so far no issues with the stockers.

So gas tank is leaking.....whoops! Looks like the one spot I hit it, and I mean hard enough to put a marble size dent about 2"s deep on the edge of the plated skid might of been enough that the tank is seeping. No leaks on the ground but the lowest point is wet, paint bubbling, and the smell like an open tank. Had about 3/4 of a tank (12ish gallons) after the whole event and drive home from the uhaul. Thinking i'll see if I can repair it and then ask myself if I should just relocate it to partially inside the cabin. If i relocate it I'll drop the skid plate between the rear frame rails and strap everything down, using the original funnel neck to fuel from the outside still. Wife says she likes that idea. Would build a box so I wouldn't have to worry about tripping over hoses. Thoughts?

Really short! I'm a little guy!. I'm thinking cut the floor out, use the stock straps in their stock locations to just raise the tank partially into the cab just enough the fill hoses clear inside so the angle isn't bad into the stock cap location. Cut the sides off the skid plate and rotate the mounting 90 degress and mount to the floor. Should be simple.
